So we have the Austin and the Mammoth

The mammoth has flatbed & tanker versions and the flatbed has loaded and unloaded sprites. I may well tweak the tanker graphics as it looks likes its tilting in a couple of the views

I chuffed that you think its good enough - but perhaps I might make the tippers work first

Today's challenge is to make the tippers load with the correct load - right now when I do a manual action 2 the refit graphic for the tipper stops working :(

v0.3 - the tippers now work and there are two versions of the mammoth the Mk II and Mk V (though they share the same graphics)

Off to Devon tomorrow so all work will cease for a week

Currently working on a ford Transit Mk 1 which will be WHITE

Hey Bob, I like what you are doing here, it looks very much like what I started to develop a while ago. If you wish, you can use the sprites I drew a couple of years ago the UK Road Vehicles set, including the trams if that is the way you want it to go.

Heh, I would, but well, they're 12500 miles away. I think most of them can actually be found here:
http://users.tt-forums.net/ameecher/sprites/

you'll have to sort through the junk that makes up the website images aswell but I'm sure you can manage. Feel free to do as you wish, just give me the appropriate credit. I have some more road vehicles on my PC at home but you'll have to wait til late August, early September for them.

Thanks

However all the complete sprites are trams, and its the trucks I'm really after - guess I will have to wait

Having said that they are really nice sprites of trams :)

BRBV 0.4 for test.

Some of the road positions need moving down a pixel or two, and I'm not sure I'm happy with the vehicle costs (anyone have any comments on this)

Have fun!

Next up will be Livestock graphics for the Mammoth

A big non articulated Leyland DAF truck

Future Transit versions - Fuel cell & Solar

I'm toying with doing an electric milk float

Cheers

I think that turning the transits into minibusses would be a cool extra thing which would be very little extra graphics work, plus adding a way of transporting low passenger numbers around on small routes.

I may well do that in the future - but there are loads of bus sets out there so I thought I'd start with trucks, of which there are a dearth

Very interesting vehicles!
1 Unfortunatelly TX, FX vehicles looks like shapeless bulk.
2 Refitting is weird with ECS. No refit to tourists from TX, FX but...

Shading black - and not making it look grey - is really hard. If anyone wants to tweak the graphics and show me how its done please do :)

As for ECS - the set is designed to run with FIRS. I'm no where near coder enough to make the set sense which industry GRF is loaded and don't have the time to make a separate GRF for ECS. Again if anyone wants to take the set and make it compatible please be my guest (or if its a 5 min tweak than let me know how its done, bearing in mind I'm using GRFmaker)

Cheers

Random guess: maybe you can disable passenger class cargo for that vehicles and enable it for passenger vehicles.

If you use cargo classes, adding passengers to disallowed classes should be enough to not allow tourists in freight vehicles.
