I would like to have all industries in all climates, or at least in the desert climate.
I have been searching around but havent found it.
On the wiki of ttdpatch it sais:
"Industries work similarly to town buildings as well, except that the maximum number of possible industries is 37 in TTDPatch and 64 in OpenTTD. The non-overridden original types count towards this limit. Industries don't have a climate mask; you should simply not define an industry if it would be for the wrong climate."

How could I get industries in other climates?

Re: Industries in all climates
well... it's the reverse of the above proposition. simply define it. if you don't set any properties, the defaults will be used
you could check the "manual industries" grf, i believe it does something like this.

Doesnt the "manual industries" grf just make sure no industries open or close?
Re: Industries in all climates
no, it does more than that.

If you are happy to go beyond default industries, you could try one of the industry sets like ECS, PBI or FIRS
FIRS Industry Replacement Set (released) | HEQS Heavy Equipment Set (trucks, industrial trams and more) (finished)
Unsinkable Sam (ships) (preview released) | CHIPS Has Improved Players' Stations (finished)
Iron Horse ((trains) (released) | Termite (tracks for Iron Horse) (released) | Busy Bee (game script) (released)
Road Hog (road vehicles and trams) (released)
