32bpp GRVTS and eGRVTS [updated 05/07/2011, now a 32bpp GRF]

I found a bug with one of the mail trucks (I don't have OpenTTD here, but I think it's the one with X3 in the name, available around 1983). On one of the sprites, you have 2 rear wheels on the right side, while on all other sprites, it just has one axle..

When the cantenery is finished for the tram track you might want to note that old trams only have 1 trolly pole (the ones on this thread seem to have 2 as a trollybus would have) also i think that single arm pantographs would look better on newer trams...

The rest looks fantastic!
Hopefully i will be able to play with these soon once a decent rail set is creatied in 32bpp (UKRS3 anyone?)

I seem to have a bug. There is a problem with the Access November/Hereford Artic hopper trucks. In the buy vehicle list when I select the truck its says under the info for the vehicle that its for coal/iron ore/grain. But once I have bought one and click on the vehicle itself and check its cargo capacity it says coal only. I've tried ordering it to pick up iron but it wont. :(

Have you tried refitting it? It's counter-intuitive, but choosing Iron Ore from the drop down and then purchasing the vehicle doesn't autorefit it to Iron Ore - that still must be done manually (for the moment, anyhow).

Ah thanks, thats it. Some of these controls are very counter-intuitive and this one is annoying having to do it manually. Either way I'm happy I can send iron to my station now. :)

Do you have this set for normal zoom?

I'm praying that extra zoom sprite support is added to trunk, but until then it would be so awesome to have these in normal zoom, even if they're small.

As I understand it extra zoom 32bpp graphics are now in trunk... These graphics should be compatible with that. Unfortunately I just don't have the time at the moment to test it out or recode the graphics or anything.

Support for two extra zoom levels is in trunk. Support for loading extra-zoom graphics is still being worked on.

I'm not sure what you mean, but 32bpp graphics can only be loaded via newgrfs. So without one it will certainly not work.

All graphics which are not contained via the base set must be provided via NewGRFs. Very simple :-)

Yes, the large explosion is in 32bpp. But that's it. Not really what you're looking for I suppose.

At the moment never... I am slowly working on an updated eGRVTS at the moment, 32bpp graphics for that might follow after that... Time is the challenge at the moment!

The problem is the number of sprites, for the full new eGRVTS there would be 20,000 to 30,000 sprites! The file size (and memory usage) would also be hundreds of megabytes... There needs to be a more efficient way of defining vehicle graphics and their cargoes really.

With some help from knuckles88 I have got the 32bpp GRVTS graphics encoded as a 32bpp grf, download it here:
