Again because of the way the set is coded I have to choose either a door on both sides or a door on neither side... I'm thinking a door on both sides would look best...
Someone has made a bus set before. He made both a left-hand and a right-hand drive set. I think you had to include either manually, using some GRF. It isn't really hard on the rendering, since you can probably just mirror the sprites (though you'd have to map between some IDs). It's not very user friendly right now I guess. But it surely adds realism.

Sorry that I'm too lazy to point you to those sets.
I know it is possible, and I know how to do it and I could do it if I wanted to (as I am the creator of GRVTS), but it involves coding which I really can't be bothered to do :)

It's going to be a great looking set, I can't wait until the first release. Any idea when we can expect some first pre alpha test release :D

Looks fantastic! :D I'm thinking of there will be articulated, double decker and regional buses... Yummy :D
Keep up the good work!
Btw, the 2. bus's door can be after the axle, it can be more realistic in that way.

Probably never, the full GRVTS sprite set should be finished quite soon...

I have done (modeled, rendered, masked, coded):
Mail: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future, Express Current, Express Future, Express V.Future
Box: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future, Express Current, Express Future, Express V.Future
Refrigerated: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future, Express Current, Express Future, Express V.Future
Armored: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future, Express Current, Express Future, Express V.Future
Tanker: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, Medium Trailer
Hopper: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, Medium Trailer (inc. 2 loading stages for 8 cargos)
Flatbed: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, Medium Trailer (inc. 2 loading stages for 8 cargos)
Bus: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future

WIP (simple modifications of existing models):
DoubleDecker Bus: Old, Current, Future, V.Future
Articulated Bus: Current, Future, V.Future
Coach: Old, Current, Future, V.Future

To Do:
Tram: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future
DoubleDecker Tram: Old, Current, Future, V.Future
Cargo Tram: V.Old, Old, Current, Future, V.Future

So yeah, not too far till I am finished! The trams will probably be tricky though...

Articulated buses. I havn't decided if I want to shrink the trailer length at all, these are currently full length trailers...

Hm, I think it's too long now, if You can cut out one window from the trailer it will looks much better (I tried it).

You keep amazing me with your speed and quality.
Just wondering, did you test the double decker in tunnels and under bridges? Isn't it too high and thus giving glitches?
Would be a pity if that's the case, I sure would love to start a game with Convoy and these buses.

The 8bpp sprites gave glitches so I'm sure these will too! It is sadly 100% unavoidable if you want to have any double-deckers though I will test them out and see how they look... It may be that a small decrease in height would help.

Wow! You are a hero!

About the tunnels problem, I guess the best way to avoid glitches is simply to not build any tunnels in the places where these are likely to drive, or build some tall building in front of the entrance if it is really necessary. The buses are fine right now.
I am little, ugly, and nasty. How do you do?

I've tested the glitches for the double-decker busses and it really isn't bad at all. Not worth worrying about!

Ive also started working on the cargo trams, its wierd to be totally inventing a vehicle! Comments are welcome!

Wow. These vehicles are <insert word here to justify these vehicles>. I am sure that the 32bpp eGRVTS will be the only 32bpp set I will ever need for road vehicles.

Well, IMO, the buses look a little unsupported at the articulation, and in real life the trailers are shorter, so I would make them shorter, but it's up to you. :]

Awesome! The trams will finally have pantographs! Now we need 32bpp tram wires...

Thanks,
Jake :))
