I agree with that. It's comments like "Moving to DOS? You bring shame to the forums.", or "I rally do not know why you prefer DOS ... my WIN works perfect and all things that are in DOS are in WIN also ... and some more like window play" that I was getting at.

Besides digging up old, useless crap way_2_good also redirected us to OT replies in this simple announcement. I don't know whether to think of this as a remarkable feat or as something pityful.

I used to prefer the DOS version, since it's the more stable alternative of the two, no matter what win-users say, but unfortunately I can't use it anymore (winXP).

So that urgent message was connected to this virus report?

I mean, that you had sent some files to some certain ppl, and you told them to delete it because you have the virus, right?

Dinges wrote:Currently I have deleted all traces off .exe files from TTD and TTDpatch

I'm infected with a virus called "W32.Jeefo"

It is not a dangerous virus, it only messes up all .exe file by attaching data too them, it doesn't hurt other files.

To fix it the only way is too reinstall windows, but all my downloads are gone too, everything I downloaded and has EXE format must be deleted.

I'm pretty pissed about this

....I think that's what I've had...

I've had a lot of .exe files (expecially TTD/Patch related ones) that suddenly double, triple in size, sometimes almost squaring themselves....I've a temporary fix to it but it's pretty fiddly...

Well, I hate to be a nag, but if you spend time on the Internet, you really BADLY NEED TO HAVE A VIRUS SCANNER!
It's for your own protection, as well as others. I've had McAfee and Norton for years and NEVER had a problem with viruses - they just get caught and deleted straightway.
