What is the problem?
All art and vehicle stats I authored for TT and derivatives are as of now PUBLIC DOMAIN! Use as you see fit
Just say NO to the TT fan-art sprite licensing madness. Public domain your art as well.

well, actually that's 6 words. "TTD" cannot be classified as one word...

don't give up on it! Please? You create such nice graphics (especially upcoming plane set). I am even inclined to agree with Simmer - reinstall TTD win into a new directory, and then put in the patch and then savegames, graphics etc. Thats whatever I do if I have a problem.

Was there anything you did recently before the game crashed? If you can pinpoint it, i'll give you some profound advice - don't do it again.

Unless a virus is in your computer there should be no problems

I think your not thinking properly

It should be able to reinstall in diferent directory (you might have to start from scratch if there are corupted items)

This my change on getting a fresh start in my gameDIR

There were a load off files found everywhere, so now it is cleaner.

however, GRFfiles from me can be made in 2 versions at a time if I wan't so that won't be a problem

You can play with whatever version you like, as long as the final results of your graphics are available in Windows since not only is that whay 80% of us use (see the poll) but that's the ONLY thing I can use - all my systems are W2K or XP. And I want the new plane-set, very badly. I expect that will become a standard set, used by all.

Currently I have deleted all traces off .exe files from TTD and TTDpatch

I'm infected with a virus called "W32.Jeefo"

It is not a dangerous virus, it only messes up all .exe file by attaching data too them, it doesn't hurt other files.

To fix it the only way is too reinstall windows, but all my downloads are gone too, everything I downloaded and has EXE format must be deleted.

I'm pretty pissed about this

Anyone got any files from me in the last week, please delete them right away. This warning does only apply for executables.

Hope the virus didn't spread by email, thank you for your attention.

Did you have a virus-scanner on your computer? In this day you really can't be without one, and you gotta keep it current.

Moving to DOS?
You bring shame to the forums.
Whatever though, just as long as you can play TTD still.

Can we please stop all this "Windows is better than DOS" bickering... EACH VERSION HAS ITS OWN ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES, AS I AND OTHERS HAVE MENTIONED BEFORE. Grrrrr...

I don't think I said Windows or DOS are "better." All I am saying is, it is a proven fact that more people currently use TTD for Windows than use it for DOS, and those numbers will only grow more skewed with time. This is simply because it is technically impossible to use the DOS version of TTD on any computer running Windows 2000 or XP. As time passes, there are fewer and fewer computers running anything older than that. Logically, at some point in the not-too-distant future, all pre-2000 computer systems will have been retired and there will be nobody using TTD for DOS, nor will there be again unless Microsoft improves DOS game support in future OSs, which is extremely unlikely to say the least.
Since there is a vocal DOS group, it would be impolite to de-support it, at least at this time. But surely it is illogical to only develop for DOS and not Windows, as a shrinking minority of TTD users can use the DOS version.
