Where do you live? Apparently not Oxford!
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Zephyris, have you tried uploading the GRF to BaNaNas again yet?
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Lol, forgot about that! It's now up...
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Ah thank you! I can now re-suggest it to KenjiE20.
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Oh mate. I've not been keeping up with the game as of late but I come back to see this beastly stuff. Somewhere around here there's a British station set by... God knows if I can remember his name but they're awesome.
Dunno if you want to have a look at some of that stuff... But feel free if not cos this stuff is class!
Awesome man. You are my Mohammed on earth.

Thanks!
Hows the coding going buttercup?
Hows the coding going buttercup?
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
I think Dave is referring to this work by Daylight (aka MPH)- I can't find the rest of it on here, or a GRF file, but there's a couple of other stations by him on the old BRset forum. None in sprite form, unfortunately, nor with a GRF or any sort of license details.
It really is fantastic work.
MPH, I don't suppose you still have a copy do you?

Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
A little slower than I would usually do it - I've let myself get distracted with other things. Once I get going though it shouldn't take too long (hopefully before Christmas).Zephyris wrote:Hows the coding going buttercup?

Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Any more word on coding?
Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
It's getting there. I apologise for the delay.
Regarding the warehouses: experiments with clustering have produced mixed results, so I was thinking it might just be easier to turn them into 2x1, 1x2 and 2x2 buildings, and then limit these depending on the size of the town. Does that sound OK?
Also (and I should have asked earlier), what town zones do you want the new buildings to be placed in? I'm no good at deciding this sort of thing.

Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
If clustering of the warehouses doesn't work then grouping them into larger buildings would be excellent.
As for town zones try the following:
Small church: 1,2
Large church: 3,4,5
Warehouses: 2,3 (possibly limit to only towns with a large popn.)
Small/large stadia: Same behaviour as the original stadia.
Flats: 3,4,5
Special buildings:
Limit to only large towns
University college: 4,5
Historic school: 2,3

Re: UK Towns Set [Coding in Progress!]
Merry Christmas! For your present, I give you... disappointment
I have been a little busier than I expected to be, so haven't managed to finish coding all the new buildings. For now the status is 'they'll be done when they're done.' Sorry about that.

No, if you had bothered to read the Location on my post, you'd see it's Holmfirth, a peaceful countryside village, and even the local towns and cities look nothing like thisZephyris wrote:Where do you live? Apparently not Oxford!
