I love Andy's way of pointing out it's not finished - don't explain it, just make the criticisms all the more absurd so it's obvious it's a work-in-progress.

Looking good Bad_Brett!

Also those grey buildings are no good. I recommend that you texture them.

I followed your suggestion, but I'm not sure... I think I like grey buildings better. :)

Seriously though. There WILL be workers, but they will be rendered as childsprites.

Nice, I would just make the roof more uniform/symmetrical so the animation would loop properly :)

Love how at the 23rd rotation that one mule winks at the blue guy. True dedication to superior animation work :)

I've been playing around with the render settings and I want to hear your opinions about it, because I'm not sure.

Houses rendered with the alternative settings are warmer, smoother and look somewhat more realistic. On the other hand, they may seem rather blurry compared to the old versions. Opinions please!

Use the new ones. It's a happier tone. It's hard to find a happy tone in game sprites without looking chintzy or gaudy. The new setting pulls it off.

Detail matters, but can be over-valued. When playing the game, individual sprites are barely noticeable (unless they stick out because they suck). I say that as someone who has spent many hours crafting details, only to overlook them when playing the game

A bit blurry, like in a western movie! It looks really better!

New render settings look more realistic, move lively. The west may have been rough, but it was mostly new settlements.

If at all possible, maybe make older buildings look degraded and dull, and new buildings colorful and lively. Especially with wooden structures.
