Hello,
Maybe I'm just not as train-wise as the rest of you but it doesn't seem that the Mallard is included in this set. If not maybe that could be included in the next release?

Got a good spriteset of it? :)

[/sarcasm]

Anyway, we dont have the sprite drawn for it, so if anyone feels like drawing a 2cc variant of it, its more then welcome! :D:D

I can't imagine the UKRS doesn't include the Mallard. Perhaps there's already a sprite set available ;)

EDIT: I saw some A4 in the BROS topic too :o

The UKRS does indeed include the mallard - and the one in the BROS forum is based on either that (in 2cc) or Ronstar's (non-2cc) but I can't remember which.

Either way, there's definately a 2cc one.

So I guess we could ask one of those authors if we may use their Mallard. :)

You may use the A4 from the UKRS (as a starting point; I suspect it could be greatly improved) if and only if you stop calling it a "Mallard".

I've PM'ed ronstar and asked him if he wants to repaint the A4 in BROS to a 2cc'ed version...

I assumed "Mallard" and "A4" were similar things, but seeing your reply it probably isn't. I don't know the Mallard, I just now the A4 from TTO. :P

Ah, so the Mallard is one of the lots of A4 classes which broke the speed record.

Yep, A4 is the term to go then. If Mallard is only a nickname of one of the engines and not a nickname for the whole class. :P

It's not "the" Mallard and it's not a nickname. Don't you Dutchies name your locos?
Other examples of named A4s include "Union of South Africa" and "Sir Nigel Gresley". We name many of our diesels and electrics, plenty of multiple units too!

They're nicknames. I mean proper names, like the Class 158 named "William Wiberforce".

Looks okay, but doesn't the A4 has some sort of head lights?

Thanks for your contribution Ronnie :)

Very few british trains had headlights until the 1980s.

Awsome! Just pure awsome! It will be added shortly. My guess and hope is that the 2cc v2 will be available in about one month. Atleast all pax related stuff. I think the wagons might need some overhauls at that point.
