File Repository

Re: File repository
Nope, only Varivar or someone with admin rights can do that.
Re: File repository
I can
but can you make absolutely sure that all sprites are in other files?

Re: File repository
At least every sprite up til and including 2632 are in the Buildings-City-Temperate file. 2676 (the windsock) I could not yet find.
Re: File repository
done!
and i shared the file with you, so you can do it yourself! (not that i don't want to )

Re: File repository
When I release the z1 and z2 zoom levels of a building, I create a new TAR file with this building.
Sorry if my english is too poor, I want learn it, but it isn't too easy.

"To be split up" in that city buildings set means that every building should have its own entry, like this.

Can i reccomend that GeekToo (and Ben_Robbins_) be made admins?
It seems a sensible idea, and they are named as 'the leaders' in your PDF from about a year ago (i have a copy of it on my pc )

Re: File repository
That is perfect I think. Only thing that needs to be done after creating the new tar, is remove the sprites from the older larger pack to avoid redundancy.maquinista wrote:When I release the z1 and z2 zoom levels of a building, I create a new TAR file with this building.
I've now done so for:
http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=29
I think that in the 3 City Buildings files there are also still some sprites that are now available in the houses, offices etc directories, and could be removed from the larger files
Re: File repository
Just so you know, the windsock is in tge airport section (with z1 & z2 sprites) so the whole file can be deleted
@Jupix (again): on the nightlies page, the log says something about duplicates. Is there a way to find out what they are?

Re: File repository
Yeah, thanks, I already found it.
Then the next one: http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... ile&id=183
and http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=55
are almost complete overlaps. I think the one under the Water section is more complete and also the more appropriate place to put the coast tiles.

They was the old coast tiles. I can release them as a new GRF, like the tiles without lines.GeekToo wrote:Yeah, thanks, I already found it.

Re: File repository
I don't have any problem with your file (id=55), and if you want you can make a newgrf for it to make it easier for end users. It is fine to have different sets with different graphics. Different people like different graphics.
But what bothers me is the one with id 183, that was put in the Landscape Ground section by Neob, and that contains almost the some sprites. That is redundant and confusing, and could be checked and removed, I think.

Re: File repository
Well, as I understand it GeekToo is already pretty busy with other stuff (including RL) to be handling administrative tasks at the repo, and I respect that. If I'm mistaken, then obviously there's nothing against making him (you, since you're obviously reading) admin. Ditto with Ben, what little time he has to contribute is too valuable to spend on mere content management stuff. After all, apart from being an experienced project member, he's an excellent artist.Lord Aro wrote:@Jupix:

They are (singular) sprites, but no sprite numbers, sorry. They would've been pretty easy to print but since there is no tool to connect a sprite number to a repo entry, at least not currently, I didn't print the duplicate sprite #s.@Jupix (again): on the nightlies page, the log says something about duplicates. Is there a way to find out what they are?

Re: File repository
I think http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=63 can be marked as standard tar, so it is included in the nighly.
http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... ile&id=264 can be merged to its parent.
http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... ile&id=183, http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... ile&id=189 can be moved from Landscape-Ground to Landscape-Water
In the dev nightly pack of 09-10-10 there seems to be a problem with the townhouses, (1500-1506), I don't know which tar it is, but it causes glitches.
@Maquinista,
I'm a bit confused, are there 2 or 3 bridgesets (I'm updating the wiki page)?
http://wiki.openttd.org/32bpp_Extra_Zoo ... es#Bridges
And are both Wotans stations still valid?

phew, i still have trouble figuring out what entries are included in the pack (standard nightly or dev) am i missing something?

Re: File repository
It is a NewGRF
Not sure why though, it appears to be part of the base set
Also, technicly its sources are missing too

Judging by the description, something to do with the grass height issue.Lord Aro wrote:It is a NewGRF

If the graphics themselves are final, it might make sense to fork the entry into another in the standard tar format. That way it would make it into the dev pack.

Re: File repository
I have created two bridge sets. The first tries to correct the pillar sprites. The second set, adds some new bridges that replaces the repeated bridges. The first set could be unnecessary if this patch is included in trunk:GeekToo wrote:I think http://jupix.info/openttd/gfxdev-repo/i ... file&id=63 can be marked as standard tar, so it is included in the nighly.

I need the z2 zoom level sprites for railways to finish all the bridges (default and new). For the moment, I have finished all road bridges.
About Wotan's stations: I have updated it here:

Yes, this newGRF+TAR file tries to solve the problem of the grass height.sweetdude wrote:phew, i still have trouble figuring out what entries are included in the pack (standard nightly or dev) am i missing something?

The default stations by Ben Robbins have these problem resolved in the default sprites, but they are not released at this moment.

Ok, Maquinista, I've changed the wiki: http://wiki.openttd.org/32bpp_Extra_Zoo ... es#Bridges, but maybe I have forgotten something, can you please check it?
