To get the latest version, you need to get one of the nightlies from here.
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/worldairlinersset/
More info please, I got to Nightlies and pressed latest, then what do I do to make it work when I have downloaded all the files? Where am I supposed to put them?
https://wiki.openttd.org/NewGRF , copy to the new grf directory , then choose from main menu ottd .

Hello,

Does exist something like a templates or default sprites for planes? I'm interested to paint more liveries but I don't have any experience at all.

Thanks and regards!

All the graphics are here and if you navigate through src/gfx, each of the model folders has a file called (0)Greyscale.png - These are your default sprites/templates.

Hi there,
new to the forum, but not new to TT !

I would like to play a scenario, of which I am missing a certain grf file:

file name: was.grf
complete name: WAS 2016-01-02 (5845:125cc5b740fd)
NewGRF-ID: 57415332
MD5 sum: A9159CC31EEA9EB1F925070E3151EA22

No results with the crawler:
http://grfsearch.openttd.org/?do=search ... 0E3151EA22

The nightly builds of openttcoop don't go back so far (down to build 5848):
http://bundles.openttdcoop.org/worldair ... nightlies/
Old nightlies are not available elsewhere (Way Back Machine etc…)

Anyone of you got that grf file in the archives?

PS: version 0.1 (2012) from bananas does not work. has different checksum etc. Need the file as stated above.

THX

/// EDIT: just downloaded one of the nightly builds, too, now works … *facepalmafter2hours*

Hi All,

It's been a while since I've posted something. So Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Finally finished the Qatar Airways Cargo Livery for the A330-220F. Together with the Turkish Cargo now the second paint for this aircraft.
SPolygon wrote:Oh and btw. Can you please add China Airlines livery for B747-400F? I have some kind of personal connection with that plane (sounded way more weird than I expected). I hope what I made is enough (i just removed them windows tbh). Aaaand, if you are reading this, can you please advice me how am I supposed to compile source of WAS into .grf file? I play with many graphics and prices and stuff just sometimes don't add up, but when I try to compile it with NML, it fails to do so.
Hi SPolygon, Wonder full paint many thanks. It took me some time to revise it, but it's all ok now and been added to the set. (Did some minor changes and converted it to the correct greyscale.)
To be honest, I've got no idea why it fails... But that should not be an issue now.

Cheers, till my next post!

Well I am extremely glad that you added it, and about that compiling; it was just my stupidity :/
Anyways, I'd like to ask if you plan adding airships back or maybe even adding some helicopters? Because as I mentioned I don't like combining this set with AV8 or any other plane set, but then I end up with hub airports at max capacity even though there are still those lonely "H" symbols without any purpose... Anyhow, thanks for replying

Well to be honest, I think not.
Airlines are still the first priority. With still much to do I don't think it's not very wise to add airships & helicopters.

Hope you can keep painting :)

Actualy I made this couple months ago, I was just too shy or whatever mainly because I was never good at drawing in general, so yea, Czech Airlines livery for ATR42-500. I used only colors from the pallete in the top right corner, I hope that's how I was supposed to do it

Hahah, looks good! I'll code it in shortly.

That is basicly how it works. You can only pick the colours from the palette as no other colours are supported.
Just a tip, try tu use more shades based on the greyscale to have a better looking paint.
And if you need some examples you can always find paints on the WAS forum http://worldairlinerset.forumotion.net/

It was strange to have CSA ATR 42-500 and not ATR 72-500 as well, so here you go (this time I tried to follow shades of the grayscale a bit more, at least I hope):
ATR 72-500 Czech Airlines
ATR 72-500 Czech Airlines
CSA(72).png (11.97 KiB) Viewed 12844 times
Also, I just noticed that for the 42-500 I used the shade of red that is flashing in-game (without knowing it of course :oops: ) So here is the fixed version;
ATR 42-500 Czech Airlines
ATR 42-500 Czech Airlines
CSA(42fixed).PNG (11.59 KiB) Viewed 12844 times
Also, if I ever make another livery for some different planes, should I post it here or on the WAS forum? Because most of the WAS forum's posts are dated 2015 or less.

And my last question; when do you plan another full release of WAS? Cuz right now the bananas version seems pretty outdated to me.

Hi SPolygon,

Great! I'll code the ATR72-500 in right away! The ATR 42-500 has already been fixed and published.
If you'll make another livery (I hope so) please post it on the WAS forum. That is the one I'll monitoring the most.

That is actually a good idea. To be honest I simply forgot, so thanks for reminding me :)

There is still a lot to do before I even consider publishing a full version again. Like every a/c type would have a manufacturer livery and some older planes to support the early years in the game.

I found a bug in the latest builds of WAS, the sound of jet aircraft, sounded like a turboprop aircraft everytime a jet plane takes off or lands and the Boeing 717 had it's range intact even if the range parameter is disabled. I have no idea why.

Also I'd like to ask you to add in the set aircrafts in Philippine Airlines livery (aside from Airbus A320-200 which it included the PAL livery):

Airbus A300

Ok i know how to fix them now.

Fix attempt abandoned grfcodec throwing errors about white from moving sprites in the .png files around a few pixels.
