Zeppelins and Other New Aircraft
OK, this thread is for making a real working Zeppelin out of the "zeppelin crash" disaster GRFs.

so here's the zepplin of doom.
We want to turn it into a nice, passenger carrying bag of gas.
we could mirror it in the x axis to make another direction, like zepplin 2

Here are the disasters GRFs, which include the Zeppelin:

You'll note there's only one view of the Zeppelin, that is, going diagonally down and to the right. All the other views would need to be drawn or edited. The crashed-Zeppelin views, well, let's hope we don't need those. Actually, maybe we would need the crash view, since aircraft do crash.

It wouldn't be too hard to draw the end-on views I don't suppose, and the going-horizontal views should be OK too. It's the opposite diagonal that would be a real pain.

Actually I think the shading on both of them is wrong, light in TTD comes from up and to the right. So for sure, the diagonals would be different. I think the flipped one you did is actually correct, we need a new one for the original view which is mostly all shaded except for the very top.

Ah. Well, take a snooze, and in the morning perhaps inspiration will have struck you. There's a lot of drawing to be done, between the zeppelin and the US train set.

I really can't see what everybody is so excited aboutBorn Acorn wrote:its ten to 2 in the morning here, and Im getting a bit sleepy nowthat the excitment of the open ttd is wearing off.
Then again, I already knew of the project for quite some time. But I had to shut up, said Owen.
It is just that, now that Owen has permission to release it, suddenly everybody may know of it...
I still want TTU!
GoneWacko. Making #tycoon sexy and exciting since 1784.
I am designing a zeppelin, they are very hard to get them round looking.
