thgergo wrote:After reading wikipage what you have mentioned, there is something else. I have found this:

Code: Select all

0: draw sprite normally, 1: draw sprite in transparent mode, 2: recolor sprite
That differs than your understanding
And if you'd read the post I made two posts below that one, ...
Though I suppose I should fix the original.

EINVALIDREPORT.
If it works in Patch, you're doing things right; go complain to the Open devs. If it doesn't work in Patch, then (and only then) ask what you're doing wrong here.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

I was about requesting a place to get some information for about subject, not getting a flame.. :o

I'm not aware of any explicit documentation. If you think what you're doing should work and it doesn't work, then you need to ask the people who wrote the NFO-host that isn't working. Since that, in your case, is OpenTTD, you need to talk to the Open Devs, who aren't commonly found here.

As OzTransLtd suggested, only bit 15 is indeed taken in account, in Action00 for bridges, prop 0D.
And if set, it will raise the bit for transparency (or so is how I read the code-> newgrf.cpp:1156).
It might be interesting to rectify it.
And yes, Dalestan, OpenDevs are lurking in TTDPatch's section regularly ;)
If you are not ready to work a bit for your ideas, it means they don't count much for you.
OpenTTD and Realism? Well... Here are a few thoughs on the matter.
He he he he

Brings the thread back life with some screenshots:
I have redesigned the zimmlock`s cantilever bridge, it have added more shading to it, I`ll include this version if Zimmlock agrees with it. (see below)
Also I have made different colour variations for road cantilevers, even a different one per climate.
And finally the modern monorail suspension bridge is completed, its supports are compatible with diagoinal or horizontal, track building under the bridges.
Im not really happy with the white colour for maglev cantilever bridge, it looks odd I think, what do you think?
-edit: updated the tracking table at fist post.

Any chance that this will have compatibility with the NA roads set, or Narrow gauge?

Some more screenies, the arch is completed, but im not sure with the colour. Also the suspensions can be recoloured too, except the monorail one, becouse it has got that tan colour too. Also, the cantilever one is completed

I think these type of bridges are made from steel rather than concrete I think :?:
Also, I need to give a more attractive colour for monorail arch suspensions, cause its amost unseeable.
And I think I should come up with a better blue tone for maglev arch :| Its too bright

Well, its quite similar to the Silver Jubilee Bridge, and could be a sort of sky blue/lime green colour.
