Can anyone explain me why my eyes are trying to tell me that the pieces of track in the fence/foundation-bug picture on the top of the hill are bent downwards in the middle? If I cover the adjacent slopes it looks normal.

Thanks a lot Prissy. I always 'envied' Simutrans brick foundations. I suppose some more will be needed. If you do not wish to work personally on them, please can you provide the bread (textures) you used, so we can cut them?

I think these should be all. At least these are all needed without diagonals (which were not part of TTD).

They were not really cut, but you could use the "double" height foundations for cutting strange ones. They were made from a picture as far as I know. I just edited them around the base.

EDIT:
Ok here are the foundations in windows palette.

Canals and Rivers
All flat and sloped river banks "done".
The canal banks need better shading, and probably some fences.
Locks not done yet, not sure if I want to do them.
I have pm'd lepkka to see if he has any sloped water tiles in the same style as the flat water, he was involved in making the rivers/riversw.grf and may have some useful WIP graphics.
What do you think?

Note the screen shot is a mock-up, not coded yet...

Good idea.
Note: As you said shading is not OK. Some banks are very bright. In reality river banks usually are not so bright as sea coasts. (more vegetation, mud...) Now this rivers addition creates some lakes as well. Let us distinguish them from the sea.

Looks really nice. But I would make the river edges a little more rough. They now seem pretty smooth, rivers don't work that way :D. Maybe add som uneven spots in the riverbanks, ad some rochs, a little plant... Problem will be making it better looking withough getting the horrible tiling feeling... So i don' tknow if it is really possible?
I was following the rivers patch a while back and when you maken the sloped tiles, you should make the water more rough, something in between a river and a waterfall :D.

Great work!

I 2nd Nickman. The canals look very good, but the river graphics are too clean.

If you have them commented like I had you can add many sets to action A. these aren't all in a row, you know.... :)

I have worked out the prob now, but it was a bit of a shock to see that happening in-game!

*edit*
newFonts - Newspaper Fonts v0.1

Prissi, I like your foundations! :D

Zephyris, i like the Newspaper font, but it feels that it could use a little pixel-tweaking here and there.
- lowercase c at bottom left.
- both p's; the one pixel standing out at the right.
- lowercase q at bottom right.
- percent sign; the two '0's look dissimilar.

And for the bad you made: that's not bad, you just hadn't set the language to English :P

Awesome!

Though I think the riverbanks should be the same colour as the cleared soil, or close at least. Would it be possible to have river tiles with random changes, as you have with the grass having rocks or lumps or whatever? It wouldn't be much, but the odd bit of variation would break up the tiling effect nicely, I think.

I assume that everyone knows about this problem with the shores as it hasn't been brought up since the screenshot went up. It's fixable, right?

It works fine for me. Well not at all of course. Only few are showed ( the ones posted in screenshot ), but it's better then nothing.

Lol... you've actually made Lovecraftian language set for OTTD!

"Ph'nglui mglw'nafh Cthulhu R'lyeh wgah'nagl fhtagn"

Now you should ask yourself: "Do I believe in coincidences?"
