I was in the mood for a new town names grf, so here it is. The grf includes 240 real place names from South Africa, which should make a change from the standard Latin American ones you get in tropical climate.

This is a nice release, I was wanting to make a new map and your names GRF has given me the inspiration to do one inspired in South Africa!

I felt inspired to create another set; this time it's Alaskan town names for the arctic climate. Enjoy!

Do these sets generate African/Alaskan-like town names, or do they just use real town names?

I saw that Y in the Alaska town names and I thought "PaulC goofed!" but then I Googled it just for fun and oh my ...

I always use real town names. It's easier, and always going to be more authentic.

My only objection is the last name: "Yp", It sounds horrible when you pronounce it.

Does the South African GRF also include the increased crime rate?

It's been a while for this old topic of mine, but I've got another grf to share. 372 real place names from South Korea, excluding all the major cities.

Slovenian town names:
This grf uses the following characters:

Č č Š š Ž ž

so for town names to display properly you'll need to use an additional grf such as unifont; OTTD users should be fine with OpenGFX, and other font replacements may work as well but I'm not sure.

Due to a (strange) conflict between this GRF and another (identically named) uploaded at BaNaNaS, I took the freedom to rename yours to include your name (PaulC) at the end. I hope you forgive me the rudeness of doing this without asking you first, but it was causing some major issues throughout our system I also do apologize that it was possible in the first place.
