[Univ] GRVTS (v1.4) and [OTTD] eGRVTS (v1.0)

Not a bump ... Not a double post

A suggestion for the flatbed trucks
Change the default cargo from "livestock" to "wood".
"Why?" you may ask "You can refit it."
Because "articulated trucks" does not support refits for the trailer, and in game I have found that "wood" needs the extra capacity much more than 'livestock" does.

I rarely use ttdpatch at the moment and not sure what the state of this is there, i know in openttd this problem was a bug which needed correction.... It may need patching in the patch itself, unless there is grf workaround...

In OpenTTD (r11333 and probably prior to it) both parts of an articulated road vehicle in this set do refit to whatever cargo is chosen. I just double checked on this as I recently started a new game using this set but have yet to reach the era of articulated vehicles. I didn't want to be in for an unpleasant surprise when I did officially get there. How and by whom this was made to work is unknown to me. It may be best to check with the developers of both games to see what the differences are between them when it comes to the refitting of articulated vehicles of the type used in this set.

The refitting problem was reported to the OpenTTD developers via bugspray, was viewed by them as a bug and corrected, I can't which developer/patcher did this but it was quickly accepted into trunk.

Thanks Zephyris. Obviously a Patch problem so I've continued the discussion in the Articulated Road Vehicles thread. :D

PS ... I searched the bug spray and couldn't find the bug report. :?

I had a search of bug spray too and couldnt find any of my articulated road vechicle bugs, mustve all been fixed and removed :)

I downloaded this latest (last?) version and did a cht: year 2049 just to see what will be available through a game ... I counted 14 buses, 52 trucks and 13 trams. Does this sound correct?

Now all we need is for a TTDPatch dev to resolve the refit issue for articulated RV trailers so that the trailers get the refit too. :wink:

Yes ... I miscounted. :D

A silly question ... in your xls the truck and bus ID's are 0 to 70 ... I assume 00h to 46h ... is this correct? And are the trams consecutive after 70 (46h) or do they use another block of ID's?

I'm asking in case I run into future compatibility issues or questions. 8)

VehIDs used are:
Buses: 0-14
Trucks: 15-70
Trams: 71-83
Empty: 84-87
(decimal)
