New Jersey Light Rail

Post by dunbrine47 »

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php?f=60&t=37142
In future improvments to my New Jersey Map I was thinking of doing a Grf based off varous trollyies/light rail from New Jersey.I need someone to draw/code them for me but I will provide the info.
For example

HB Series(Used on the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail)

# Seated Capacity 69
# Peak Commuter Capacity 121
# Maximum Speed 55 mph
Intro date 2000
Running Costs:?
http://www.kinkisharyo-usa.com/njt_newjersey.html

Stadler GTW(Used on the River Line)

First Year of Service 2004
Passenger capacity 70 standard; 20 fold-up seats; 94 standees
Maximum Speed 70 mph (112 km/h)
Approximate cost per unit $3.6 million in 2004(Could make it $36,000)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stadler_GTW

That is just the starter info I will try to look for more Vehicles.

It has so many flaws I can only tell you to improve everything :( .

I suggest you to look again in Purno's Drawing Tutorial and look at the size of trains in TTD. Here is TTD palette. Use colours from it. Beware of action colours though.

Come on, don't take it personally now.. it sure was rude how he formulated his post, but you can't deny that you'll have to work on it a bit more until it's usable as sprites for a grf.

For example, you made it only half the height, why?
Just look at some sprites from already existing sets, for example this: http://www.tt-forums.net/download/file.php?id=90251 (random find in the japan set thread). Trains should have approximately that size.

<Lakie> Well, they do the same thing but the code is different.
