I've decided that, to keep everything in one place, I should start a thread to throw all my stuff in. So here goes.

Australian Landscape (AusLAND)
The Australian Landscape aims to produce a realistic and tidy looking landscape that heavily resembles the type of terrain found on the eastern coast of Australia. Currently undergoing testing. Discussion link here.

Australian Renewal Set{ON HOLD}
A set which will replace all the default vehicles of TTD Australian vehicles, all in Company Colours.

Brick Tram Depots
The Brick Tram Depot, drawn by Born_Acorn, replaces the default Tram Depot with one loosely based upon the TTD Train Depot. Released. Downloads can here found here.
Image

British Rail Set
The British Rail Set aims to produce a set which represents the trains used in the United Kingdom. Developing. Discussion link here.

New South Wales Rail Set
The successor to the old Australian Standard Gauge Set, The NSW Set aims to faithfully recreate the track and trains of the New South Wales railways from 1921, right through to roughly 15 years into the future(2020). The set contains all important vehicles of the times, and is geared towards players playing out the NSW Rail history 'their own way'. While all of the trains are realistic, it is possible for players, say, to run 620/720 Railcars right into the 2010's, or, electrify right down to the Victorian Border, and run true electric intercity services. Undergoing Testing, previous release can be found here. Discussion link here.

New South Wales Bus & Tram Set
A Bus & Tram set which aims to provide a set of buses which strongly resemble those used in New South Wales. Developing. Discussion link here.

Tower{Superceded, use the Tourist Set instead}
The Tower/Fortress replaces all Lighthouses in TTD. Released. Downloads can be found here. All discussion pertaining to this project is to take place in this thread.

Tourist Set
The Tourist Set adds support for a "Tourist" cargo in TTD, along with two buildings, for use with the TTRSv3, and UKRSI. It supercedes the old tower.grf, which only remains for legacy purposes. Downloads can be found here. All discussion pertaining to this project is to take place in this thread.

More to come in the next couple of days.

Actually I think the link should point to his blog.
Which is where the actual download file is stored.

That reminds me of the mine towers you often see.
Often in cornwall. Not sure of their real name. I think they are vents for the mine-shafts. Correct me if i am wrong please :)

Gentlemen, let's please behave, or I'll have to split off some of these posts. I don't see why it's wrong to have the graphics sets collated here, it just makes it a bit easier for people to find WhiteHand's projects. I'm sure if other people have contributed to them, he will make appropriate acknowledgements.

Edit by Raichase: HAHA, POST HIJACKING. Er-hem.

I did actually split a couple of posts off, mostly because they were off topic. If we really start arguing over which thread we discuss graphics in, what kind of a community are we? Whitehand, as the coder, has requested all discussion of the graphics file in question to take place in this thread, which is a fair enough request in itself. Unless Oz, as the artist has any problems with it, it would be courtesy to respect his wishes.

Please stay on topic, and no needless bickering. We've had way too much of that of late, and it will not be tolerated. Thats an unofficial warning to everyone reading this. Please, respect each other, and don't kick up a stink about things that honestly will not matter in 30 minutes time, let along 10 years time.

Thanks.

Sorry orudge ;)[/edit]

I have begun work on making the Tower compatible with ECS, but I was very unimpressed with how ECS works, which has made it very unlikely that I will continue making it compatible with ECS. It is more likely that I will release a GRF of generic tourist destinations, along with a new definition of the Tourist cargo, which will hopefully be compatible with the UKRSI.

I believe Michael Blunck is working on the ECS so it might be a bit premature to adapt something to it at this time.
I thought Pikkabird had decided against tourists in UKRSI. I may have misunderstood.
A generic tourist destination sounds interesting. However should that prove too difficult, keep in mind that eis_os is working on a way to handle new objects where this might fit in nicely.

On another related note, a suggestion for items continued in this thread from another thread ... why not a simple link back to the other thread in order to show the source and provide history and continuity? :D

I reported ECS bugs to George, he's probably fixing them, so be patient.

wallyweb: Yes, Pikka had decided against Tourists in the UKRSI, however, I am making this set so that it is possible to use both it and UKRSI without any trouble. Pikka gladly helped me through some of the trouble I had with designing industries and cargos and now I have gotten the hang of it.

Wile E. Coyote: I didn't find ECS to be buggy, I just found it to be extremely restrictive, and there were far too many cargos represented, and far too many GRF Files to download.

Unfortunately, it's buggy. And I agree to other things you said, but probably there is no other way to make it to work correctly.

Well, I did say that *I* didn't find ECS to be buggy ;)

I have completed coding the first two(and only two) industries in my tourist set. Picture below. Cheers to Oz and Zimmlock for the graphics.
