Ok, here's some help:
Get NML and read its tutorial and maybe some specs.
With respect to drawing, see the drawing tutorial and use a graphics programme capable to work with colour palettes.

An excellent suggestion. Recently I was thinking about this myself.G-VFIZ wrote: ... if anyone could make a high-speed catamaran ferry such as any of the following: ... Any help would be greatly appreciated!
If the offerings in FISH (As Eddi suggested) do not help you, perhaps someone will take up the challenge and work on your suggestion. If that should not happen, and you decide to do your own GRF, then the links provided by planetmaker make for excellent references. If you decide to go with this route, do not be afraid to seek out comments, suggestions and criticism. There are a lot of very experienced coders and artists on these forums and they are usually very willing to provide good advice. Do not be afraid to ask ... there is no such thing as a bad question. Good luck.
