Wait, Jezulkim, do you know this 18 and 8 as Xrel and Yrel? Because when I changed this values, this only move building from his place.

Whether the house is drawn in front or behind another sprite is controlled by the bounding box set in action 2, as DaleStan has mentioned. Changing xrel/yrel cannot fix this, you have to fix the action 2.

MY FIRST GRF WORK! :D

Post by PeCeT_full »

YES, I'VE CREATED! :D I fixed this problem adding xextend value to 16 and adding yextend value to 8. I added a additional sprite and the umbrella is after when the building is builded. The stats:

Original

Population - 180
Passenger acceptance - 8/8
Mail acceptance - 3/8
Goods acceptance - 3/8
Appears - Year 1973, temperate and subtropical climate

Edited

Population - 120
Passenger acceptance - 8/8
Mail acceptance - 2/8
Goods acceptance - 2/8
Appears - Year 1973, temperate, sub-arctic ONLY BELOW the snow line and subtropical climate

Sorry, but this in first version can't be transparented when you click a "Transparent buildings" option, so don't be surprised.

PS. This will not replace original Shops and offices, just create a new version...

GRF file (sorry, at this time for DOS version only):

OT: You should be able to attach up to three attachments per post.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

Post by PeCeT_full »

Sorry for third post.

It's time for my first graphic building! Here's a basic home, about 15-20 minutes passed to draw it.

1. The roof is not centered. Dunno if it's supposed to be. See attachment.
2. It needs more texturing.
3. Make the lines less visible.
4. It's too big. I believe one floor should be about 5 pixels high.
5. Spend more than 15-20 minutes on it.

However,

1. Isometric shape is correct.
2. I assume you have used colors from the TTD Palette only.

Another better building(?)...

Post by PeCeT_full »

Eemmm... Keep this house for later. My better proposition is this building. Name: "Food shop/bar". I think this is good building.

better, but it lacks detail IMO. Add some life to it.

Benches (?) are bad. Use more than one brown color, and a shadow on the ground...

Looking better again :)) Tho, the roof's a bit empty (shouldn't there be some installations on it?) and the brown thingies on the ground (whatever they are) are strange.

i think there needs to be something on the roof as well, maybe aircon, some vents... perhaps shop sign?

as for those brown things :? ...originally they looked like mud patches to me, but they may be a valiant attampt at benches (try again)

Here's now a third version of my PeCeT_full's Food Shop/Bar. The picnic tables are corrected and the yellow line it's the yellow-pulsing caption.

I'd say get rid of those picknick tables. They're not recognizable, and I wouldn't know myself how to draw them, at that scale. Perhaps you can try a simple bench or some flowers/trees, perhaps a car park, that kinda stuff.

Sorry, but I don't create perfectly buildings, but I have some talent to create some buildings. I now temporary closing creating Food Shop/Bar, maybe after this building be improved. Compiled in GRF with stats:

Name - Food shop/bar
Population - 6
Passenger acceptance - 3
Mail acceptance - 1
Goods acceptance - 1
Appears - Year 1931, temperate and sub-arctic ONLY BELOW the snow line clmate
Cost to clear = Houses (temperate)

PS. And rate my work. Or maybe proposition to change stats?

actually, no-one does. if you're displaying your work on this forum, you've gotta learn to handle the negative comments and critics as well as the positive ones.
