Wow Mr Moderizzle Raichaseness - I detect a pissed off tone! (Yeah yeah i know - Name? Dave Worley, Specialist Subject? The Bleedin' Obvious (Basil Fawlty :P))

Who cares what it's compatible and not compatible with anyway... just lay back, let it all flow over you and listen to some Marley.

As ever though, Hyronymus, a lovely little piece of work you've knocked up there. Great bridges, great road sprites, ahhh. Paradise.

Fantastical.

I'm sorry, I just get sick of people treating the creators of these things with anything less than respect. Feel free to disagree with anyone, but do it in a respectfull way.

They have spent all their time working on it, and for someone to be so... infuriating, it just bugs the hell out of me. So yes, I will bite.

:)).

No, but it does tell you which combinations ARE possible. Which, by process of elimination, would mean that the OTHER combinations are... gasp... impossible.

How about showing some respect to the people that spent all their hours working on this wonderfull set, rather than nitpicking at a manual which (I might add) is perfectly serviciable if you take the time to READ it.

Oh, and as you need the obvious stated, this is the end of my post.
Hold your horses there, Mister Raichase, sir. Respect and requests for clarification are not mutually exclusive. My  was merely a mark of exasperation following a statement that said that though I was told to RTFM, TFM only contained the answer to my question by way of elimination of other possibilities.

However, it remained possible that, given that one combination of the combroad and viaduct is feasible, the other might be feasible as well. Hence my pestering Hieronymus with a request for clarification. Disrespect had nothing to do with it.

And that is the end of my post.

You would have noticed this line if you read the thread too...
But, anyway the manual does say only RobC's Bridges work with Pikka's bridge, but otherwise use your head. Something which replaces the same things (bridge in this case) aren't going to be compatible.

I'm not saying I wasn't asleep at the wheel, as it were. I'm just saying disrespect had nothing to do with it.

It's not directly aimed at you or anyone, I know you mean no disreapect.
But I'm starting to get annoyed by users complaining before reading the readme's or previous bug reports / answers.
And sometimes just not using their heads...

Sorry, I didn't mean to make it sound like I was trying to 'stab' at you.

Is the smoke gone again? Good to see not everyone has difficulty overcoming the stress that actually reading a readme evokes. I'll consider being even more explicit in possible new releases. For now I hope the discussion in this topic will fulfill an informing duty.

This is how I set it up on my newgfw file:

#disabled#newgrf/NEWBRIDGESW.GRF
newgrf/PB_VIADUCT.GRF
newgrf/combroadw.grf 2 1
#DISABLED#newgrf/EUROADSTW.GRF
#DISABLED#newgrf/USROADSW.GRF
#DISABLED#newgrf/CZROADSETW.GRF

...and it does not work. I tried all kinds of combinations, and whenever I look "in-game", under the newgrf section, it tells me that it cannot work because there's another set loaded, but I do not have any, so what could I be doing wrong?

Cheers

Holy crap, that's a lot of GRF's.

On another note, love the set. Too bad it doesn't work with Pikka's stonebridge, but these are great, so I'm not complaining!

And would be nice if you "refresh" your folder too ;) there is some "old" grfs in! Come back to date!

@ daniel c.
try to disable newfactoryw.grf
it seems that the set is incompatible with the factory graphics.
at least it works for me ;-)

For those who haven't read the readme or didn't understand, the grf is made up of 2 major parts, the bridge part and the European Roadset part,
if you have a conflict could you please give the error message in full, not just it gives a message, because one part could still be active.
This would help me with trying to work out whats going wrong.

Looks like you are trying to use Pikka's bridge with Purno's Bridges. That would be the cause of the Bridge part of the set being disabled because they use the same bridge id (Wooden Bridge). :)

As for the roadset part of the grf, well I need the exact error message to work out if that is having a conflict too.
Also if any grfids match this one 49450001 that would be the cause the roadset part of the grf to be disabled.
Please do give the grf name of a grf with that grfid, and I'll get on Born_Acorns back about sortting it out. :)

Thanks inadvance,
~ Lakie

Do you have any suggestions for which ones I should take out, or update?

Thank you, that, and disabling Pikka's bridge did the trick, and its working now.

In my case, neither the bridge set, nor the road set were working. However, since desabling Pika's bride, and the newfactoryw.grf, it started working.

BTW...it says on the readme file that it is supposed to work with Pika's viaduct as long as, you load it before to combo set.

Also, nice work, the set looks great.

Great! I installed it but one bridge is wrong, see image. Btw, in the pdf I see a warning about that this can have contagious files. What that mean? That can have a virus? Please give me what is it.
I don't think that the creators want to put a virus inside it

\o/, we have a bug! Thanks for the report Underbuilder, thanks for the cfg file and ttdpatch config too. That's actually something I can work with.

About the contagious file: I didn't want to type addictive, that's so obvious ;).
