I would like to have maglev "coaches" buildable normally rather than the rather unintuitive ctrl-building, but they'll still be expensive...

Thermodude... You've given me an idea...

2x MagLev rings around the outside edge of the map... with counter-running MagLevs then just build a link into any towns it passes by...

if the trains are 10 blocks long, that's a helluva lot of passengers and even more $$$!

you could also do it running four systems, dividing the map into 4 quarters...


going to cost a small mint to install and set up... but goodness... think of the profit!!

I'm not saying there should be a capital punishment for stupidity, but why don't we just take the safety labels off of everything and let the problem solve itself?

is it all right if you could disable the monorail/maglev trains plse with a parameter?

If you don't like them, just don't build them. The AI will never use the maglevs.

All art and vehicle stats I authored for TT and derivatives are as of now PUBLIC DOMAIN! Use as you see fit
Just say NO to the TT fan-art sprite licensing madness. Public domain your art as well.

If you only allow the AI to build RVs, they are very good at building up many cities with busses etc. That helps a lot later in the game when you need places to deliver goods and whatnot. Instead of running and maintaining my own bus services at a loss for a couple of years to develop cities, I let the AI do that.

Does anyone know if there are plans to improve on the ships too?

would really and truly like a hovercraft type vehicle that carries more than 100 passengers

A little update, mainly to the AI. The AI is now much more limited in what locomotives it will use, and they now use their own special freight wagons which will automatically update over the years. Hopefully this will make it more competitive, and make their trains seem more realistic.

Things required before an official release (or which need working around if they're not going to happen):

1) Bugs with articulated cargo wagons fixed.
2) Wagon retirement fixed.
3) Refit callback run on wagon purchase (for AI).
4) Autoreplace second heads correctly reversed.
5) Callback 36 for running costs (for maglev, possibly).

Just wondering, will I be able to take this GRF and stick it on top of my old one and have existing saved games (v2.3) "upgrade" alright with a Cht: ResetVehicles? And any chance of a non-beta release before I head off to Brazil on Monday? :mrgreen: Maybe I'll just take my chances... heh.

It should upgrade okay. I don't think you've got much hope for monday as I'm waiting for the TTDP 2.5 final, but I don't think too much will change from here.

hi, i think that the ukrsi is the no1 industry set, because its graphics are inkeeping with the existing ones and it is not too complicated. i had an idea when i saw the advent of roadside truck stations,

Waste Vectors

rubbish/garbage/trash (woteva) --> landfill
town -----> recyclables -----> Recycling plant -----> plastic,steel (or just recycled materials) -----> factory -----> goods -----> town
if you had plastic this could be added to the UKRSI set

it would involve adding a few rubbish trucks (refittable to recyle trucks) and ;

garbage + recyclables - carried by the same trucks as grain,rail and sea and air

this collection would increase your town rating and promote town growth

Little update - I've changed the sprite offsets on every single vehicle, so if people could use this and tell me if they spot anything that's obviously misaligned?
