Having built a mammoth train that included every locomotive and wagon, and then the same for the DMUs/EMUs (I wanted to check them both ways...), and monorail/maglev, I have deduced that everything be alright sir.

comrade-max wrote:hi, i think that the ukrsi is the no1 industry set, because its graphics are inkeeping with the existing ones and it is not too complicated. i had an idea when i saw the advent of roadside truck stations,

Waste Vectors

rubbish/garbage/trash (woteva) --> landfill
town -----> recyclables -----> Recycling plant -----> plastic,steel (or just recycled materials) -----> factory -----> goods -----> town
if you had plastic this could be added to the UKRSI set

it would involve adding a few rubbish trucks (refittable to recyle trucks) and ;

garbage + recyclables - carried by the same trucks as grain,rail and sea and air

this collection would increase your town rating and promote town growth
opinions anyone

Nope... I don't think it works... In my opinion. But you're entitled to yours.

It's Pikka's decision at the end of the day though.

I just found something that may be of help with the set. It's a site with a bunch of British steam sounds:

http://www.greatwestern.org.uk/sounds.htm

Don't know if they're very useful or not with the custom sounds patch, but I thought I'd post the link anyway. Oh, and all the sounds are downloadable in zip format.

Using the most recently posted beta of UKRS v3 (11/07/06) with TTDPatch 2.5 beta 6, there is a sprite offset problem and graphical glitches, when a BR 'AM2' EMU is refitted to mail or valuables.

I was thinking, i've seen some trains in the UK that has a driving carriage at the end. I Dont know but maybe ou could maybe incorporate that into the set if ou haven't run out of slots or it could double up with the guard van(have a refit option?) Just thought id give my 2p. :)
Ah forget it. I'll come back now.

"DVTs can be seen in service in the UK with GNER, Virgin Trains and 'one' Anglia. Locomotive types which have been used to provide the power include Class 67 diesel locomotives and Classes 86, 87, 89, 90, and 91 electric locomotives." From Wikipedia. There is a whole article and i think a DVT would be SO cool for UKRS.

Hum...

Well, i like the new industries and acceptance, but my DB Set do not work with the new Cargoes. Is there any way to get a wagon set without the UK Trains in it, so i can use both: the industries and my favourite DB Set?

:idea: put some bricks on the bolster truck for an extra goods type?

I'm still sure that the types of goods should be put into sub-catagories, or split food and beer off independantly.

But then you lose the main charm of the UKRS and UKRSI, is that it is still inherantly TTD-themed. Only, it looks better.

Everything in the UKRS and UKRSI has ties to the original theme of TTD. E.g. take products somewhere and get "goods", which goes to a town. It's simple, people understand it, and it saves spots for other cargoes.
