shame his tto pack died out.
Are you sure he did it? I checked the topic and the monorail was made exactly same way as I have done it.

I have listed three things there are left to do in this set:

-Monorail bridges, needs coding
-Buildings (see my attachment), coding, maybe a cool pseudo sprite like PikkaBird's iron ore mine code.
-Make the existing iron ore mines change graphics, I don't know whether this is possible.

The buildins you can see in the attachment can be seen only in the arctic climate now, they were in temperate climate in TTO

The "Ginzu" is exactly the same as the one in TTD, graphics are exactly alike!

Ummm....

Code: Select all

  1 * 4	 01 07 00 00
  1 * 17	 02 07 01 00 1E 06 00 00 1F 86 00 00 00 00 10 10 10
  1 * 17	 02 07 02 00 20 06 00 00 21 86 00 00 00 00 10 10 10

  1 * 7	 00 07 01 01 01 08 18
  1 * 7	 00 07 01 01 02 08 18
  1 * 7	 03 07 01 01 00 01 00
  1 * 7	 03 07 01 02 00 02 00
Should do it.
-Make the existing iron ore mines change graphics, I don't know whether this is possible.
You can't really get newindustries to apply retrospectively.

If you have a saved game that you really want to replace the mines in, try:

-loading the save game in the scenario editor,
-replacing all the mines (you might have to use sign-cheats to give yourself enough money to do this)
-Save the scenario
-Play the scenario
-use cht: playerid 0 to switch control back to your company.

Thank you very much! Maybe you could make a code that allows to make a new monorail bridge without breaking the other bridges. Or maybe I'm asking too much... Too bad that it's not possible to make the iron ore mine graphics work properly.

It could be done, I believe, but it might not be easy. Can you post the sprites for the monorail bridge, please?

Yes, but that requires information that I don't have :?

Sure. The monorail bridge is awesome, no hurry with coding.

Cool, I was waiting a bit for this, Maybe they can replace the wooden monobridge and maybe even adjust the speed. :wink:

So, yes, "they" can. Whoever "they" is.
To get a good answer, ask a Smart Question. Similarly, if you want a bug fixed, write a Useful Bug Report. No TTDPatch crashlog? Then follow directions.

'They' are the people that can code it into the game.
So 'They' would (poor enough) not be me. :wink:
I'm afraid that I'm not that familiar with the patch. :)

Here we go. One monorail bridge (replaces the tubular bridge, which is also modified so it can be build at shorter lengths).

Some of the actual sprites may be a little out of alignment, but you can easily fix that up in the pcx file (attached here as a .gif).

Code: Select all

    2 * 906	 00 06 02 01 0A 09 00 0D 00 07

    // table 0, (end)
    // rail X  v           v           v
    0A 0A 00 00 01 0A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00
    // rail Y  v           v            v
    0C 0A 00 00 02 0A 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00

It looks great :shock:

I can't get it encoded, could you post the first lines of the nfo or the grf so I can fix the alignment problems. Fantastic work, I love it.

eis_os advises that you probably need to get the latest version of grfcodec.

That's basically the whole NFO file - all that's missing from the top are the headers, sprite 0 and the action 8. I assumed you were just going to append this to your grf file which modifies the track sprites. :)

Ah, thanks for the info, it works now.

EDIT: I have fixed the alignment problems with the monorail bridges. If you read this and you like TTO, download this NOW!
I also made a TTO title screen. I suggest you to backup your TTD title.dat before you use this.

Gurluas: please add these files to the main zip file.

It works in OTTD too, not as what I had in mind, but it still looks awesome.

I too think that the monorails may have got company colours (actually the owner of a monorail only can be recognized by the fences colour or by the land info button because all monorails are blue), I don't think that it can be hard.
BTW, nice monorail bridge, PikkaBird.

EDIT:

It's completely impossible to make the monorail supports CC, or to remove the fences, without patch coding.

They don't display properly in OTTD because OTTD doesn't support newbridges.

Ah but it does. Not properly, the pillars are borked, but it does support newbridges to some extent.
