Is this not a heritage railway? Or is it actually a fully in-use railway?

It's a bit of both, it is a reborn old railway line from Wymondham to Dereham, then to Fakenham, the Fakenham section (North section, is right now being rebuilt, the line is active so far between Wymondham to Dereham, the Crossings were cleared up because they were in a dreadful state. The one near the station had old tracks and rotten sleepers, the northern crossing had been neglected, all that was there was a pole by the cottage in the picture. The tracks were there, and the posts were brown and rotten, now that has been cleared up, and the North Elmham to Dereham section of the Northern Section is nearly done.

That is the old Northern Crossing in Dereham before it was cleared up

Look at this big change!

This is what the vegatation was like in one spot of the Northern Section just after North Elmham: http://www.mnr.org.uk/photos/north/flail2/large1.jpeg

What it looks like now: http://www.mnr.org.uk/photos/north/flail2/large2.jpeg

There's a good gated level crossing just off the A.6 near Poynton - it's like going back in time - cobbled approaches down a narrow twisty hill:

is this grf compataible with your narrow gauge tracks.

No, because the narrow gauge tracks are intended to be international. However the UK narrow gauge set over-rides them back to this style (or will upon its release around the time of the heat death of the universe)

Great crossing. Note the elongated X above the lights - that indicates a crossing without barriers. (For those who wished to know)

Wow... That's interesting stuff. I assume the barriers wouldn't have fit underneath the bridge.

The bridge is the Motorway from Holt to Swaffham.
Why is that crossing unusual? I have been over that thing countless times.
