Thanks for the reports .. I fixed the sand dredging .. (my coding is shocking lately keep forgetting to check certain commands :oops: ).

The logging Wharves (I presume you mean the Sawmill Wharf) .. are you trying to place the sloped pieces on water? The first 11 are all designed to go on coastal slopes.

I am in processing adding a few other items to the Industry Object set .. so will do that before I upload next issue.

Hi all,

Made some animated wind turbines in 4 directions so should suit what ever ocean you place them in and get the sea breeze.

The wind turbines can be found in "Utilities"

Also add some objects from BornAcorns Industry set and some from game original graphics. (except the wood sheds .. I moved them into same menu as the Born acorn ones which can be found in "Odd Bits".

There 3 sets of multi-select menus each with 4 items.
1. a) Has 4 different types of tanks.
b) Has 4 more different types of tanks.
c) Has another 4 different types of tanks.
d) Has construction cranes.

2. a) Pieces I took from original game graphics. Might be useful to add to Industries that handle liquids.

Yes I ment logging wharves, and was definitely being a bit thick lol can see they are for coast edges now. :roll:

Long long time ago .. I was asked to see if I can do a model of Heathrow Airport Cargo Terminal.

It got hard so I put it in the to hard folder .. then they started a competition over on

I did have it in my AuzIndObjects .. but was pestered to make a AuzAirportObject set for it.

I was going to remove it from AuzIndObjects but notice 8 people have already down loaded it,so for now will leave them in that set as well as having them in the new set.

At the moment the new set only had the jigsaw puzzles for the Cargo Terminal. Hope eventually to add the office buildings that went with it. But busy for now with overhauling my train sets.

Having a break from my trains this weekend and seeing what I can make for this months screenshot competition which is boating.

Then I thought what about a reef or atoll .. using the animated beach objects from Quast65 Beach Object Set.

You could have a island surrounded by the reef with a small gap for boats to get it.

Hope this image gives you a idea what I trying to make.

Only done the straight pieces at moment with the reef (rocks) so can get idea if it be any good or not .. does it look like a reef?. It is animated with the waves rolling in from the ocean going over the roocks and into the lagoon and then the water between reef and island is calm.

The corners are from the beach set. Hope to try make some corner pieces so the reef don't need to be so straight.

Some changes in the graphics to the Atolls and reefs.

2 shades .. greenish to represent weeds and plants on the reef.

I like what you are doing, but I am missing something...
I think that it is not really "natural" that the water goes back to the deep blue before it reaches the island...

I believe it should be a shallower form of water...

Images I see of these are many .. some with the inner water between reef and land, and some like in your images.

Using your surf with the 4 blues .. could make single sets, plus 1/2 and 1/2 sets.. Have it so reef can be 2 tiles wide or wider.

I shall keep working on it and see what I can achieve.

Looking at it again, there may be an easier option..

Right now the transition looks like it goes from deep blue via a gradual rise to the reef and then suddenly an abrupt end to deep blue and I think it should be the other way around.

So you could use the same graphics, but maybe need to change the corners (and in case you animate them, the direction of the roll of the waves).

That may look a bit more natural and maybe also a good way to "connect" them to regular beachtiles (even with some normal deep blue sea inbetween).

This work ok for a narrow reef .. still see if I can make them so can be wide as well.

In the reef in the image is a shallow channel so the boat can get to the island. Also done a overlap one so can actually send boats through the channel.

When you think of it reefs normally rise up from the deep very quickly and island side be gradual rise as most are formed from volcanoes.

Will work on more tomorrow ..

REEF and/or ATOLL
I started a new object set for Boating and Airports .. looking at joining the 2 together.

Main idea of this to see what I can come up with for boating competition.

It has boats from AuzWaterObjects and plan to add some more object boats in the near future.

What about a reef or atoll?

Can have it just 1 tile wide or many tiles. It can join the shore and/or have a lagoon between the reef and land.

This what you can do so far.

Will also upload the game file so you can test and let me know what you think and any additions I could add.

Probably add a slope aware to go around the islands with the reef touching the shore line.

Very nice, I like that there are multiple options for a tile, that creates a nice diversity.

The only thing I am missing are nice endings, to create a deepblue water channel:

Did some reef edges so can make a deep channel between them .. they are 1/2 tile size reefs.

Also making some small rock/reef out crops just to make it difficult for ships to find the channel.

Made some small reefs and rock outcrops.

There 2 types .. greenish and a blueish look.

After surrounding this island with those reef and rocks .. got me thinking again .. why not make island pieces not sloped. Make some land same level as the water?

Might work on that idea tonight and tomorrow.

Here the update test file if like to try the new additions so can have deep channels and the small reefs.

Keep what you got in, as those are the basic tiles needed for a reef (and the small stand-alone ones may be fun).
Just dont develop them further, focus on the blue ones. Later on you are always able to return to the green ones.

EDIT:
And maybe just put them in their own submenu, away from the blue ones.

The greens can stay in and work on them later as I think they can be improved. Maybe a slightly darker green.
And maybe just put them in their own submenu, away from the blue ones.
Done now in own menu .. except for the small reefs and rock out crops as they in same png file at moment.

Looking at low land for the islands and design them so players can raise the land if need. I will pinch more of your beach sand :roll:
