Trains stopping in stations

Ok... after reading this incredible long thread of suggestions and all the other ones in this suggestion section I'm sure that this is hopefully a new suggestion:

It would be nice if trains that are shorter than the station they stop at will stop in the center of the station. Example: the station is five tiles long, the train just one tile: it should stop in the center tile of this station and not drive until the end and stop there. That would be more realistic - and it maybe would help for solving this silly bug that causes trains to return and enter another platform if the exit signal is red.

I have a feeling that it is messing with how the trains work in TT, and that has either not been done yet, or is deemed to much work to be worthwhile . I like the suggestion though.
