(O)TTD(P) Feature Request for Rail Stations – use of TTD sprites without rail type mapping ...

Currently it is impractical to use TTD sprites in sprite layouts (property 09 for stations) as these are mapped to the rail types; thus getting rather unpleasant results, if stations are built for other than normal rail types.

For the time being, the Canadian Stations Set MK II can only support a maximum of two rail types; not any number of rail types as initially intended. CanStn MK II will be able to support the first 2 rail types encountered in the following order : Normal (including Electrified), Narrow Gauge, Monorail, MagLev. Basically, support for MagLev will be dropped. In game Maglev stations would only get support, if there are no Narrow Gauge and Monorail rail types in use.

Feature Request ...

Introduce bit 5 in General Flags (property 0x13) for Stations – If set, TTD sprites used (i.e. sprite numbers have bit 31 set) in spritedata (property 09) will NOT map to rail types; i.e. sprite numbers will be used as defined. This should not affect the handling of ground sprites though.

Do you have a sample GRF? I have a patch, just need to test it.
He's like, some kind of OpenTTD developer.
