There is already a newcargos-capable version of DBXL out there. Where it is available from while MB's site is down I do not know.

There´s a download link inside the last couple of pages of my graphics thread in this very section of tt-forums. However, I don´t know if that "DBXL ECS extension .grf" would be compatible with UKRS industries. I slightly doubt that.

It works fine for me, the only thing that it doesn't have, I think, is Lumber and Fuel Oil, though I stand to be corrected on that as I haven't played with it for a long while :)

http://www.tt-forums.net/viewtopic.php? ... start=2445 is exactly where the extension grf is. :)

I tested it with PBI and all the cargos work fine (as you would expect, since the only additional temperate cargos in PBI are WDPR, PLAS and PETR, which are all ECS cargos too). The brick chain addon does produce some anomalies with CLAY; it is transportable, but only as machinery on the heavy flatbed!

Problem is not that you cannot refit wagons to foreign cargo types. That is possible by using the DBXL extension. Problem seems to be that you find certain graphical representations for foreign cargo unsuitable.

This cannot be fixed in DBXL 0.82, not even when using the ECS-extension, because there are no graphical representations included for every foreign cargo.

The next version of the DB Set will include graphical representations for a lot of additional cargo beyond the original cargo scheme.

It is a pity that there are no plans create a new version "DB Set XL" or "DBXL ECS" because I think this is the most extensive and realistic railway extension i have seen. The combination of German precision with British ingenuity [plug-in]: "UKRS Industries" create a professional whole which have significantly improved the atmosphere of the game. Regards Adam351

No plans required because there is ongoing work on the DB Set v0.9. Please check e.g. the DBXL thread on the German tt-forums.

Here is a version thread "DBXL v0.9" in English: http://translate.google.pl/translate?hl ... 23pid61496

I think that, user "Adam351" writing about the lack of visible update "DBXL" extensions summarized the status of this process. For example page: http://www.ttdpatch.net/newgrf.html "DB Set XL (v0.82) last update May 10 2005" http://www.ewetel.net/~michael.blunck/ttd message content: "Fehler 404 - Error Page Unavailable" Michael Blunck's new graphics [http://www.ttdpatch.de/] Nothing about upadte except for a few new comments. I am glad that the page http://www.tt-ms.de/forum/showthread.ph ... 6#pid61496 is a some light in the tunnel to expand this theme.

Just a quick question while you're talking about it. Do releases of graphics on the German forum find their way onto this one, or is it owrth trying to look through there and find soem hidden goodies?

The DBXL FIRS extension is an extra newgrf to add refittabilty for the special cargoes of the FIRS newindustries set.

This set claims to be operable under OTTD only. In consequence, the DBXL FIRS extension should deactivate itself under TTDPatch, simply because there´s no use to have the extension without this particular industry set.

Obviously, deactivation doesn´t seem to work in your case. I´ll take another look into this.

[edit] OK, found it, the error message intended for TTDPatch (action0B) was ignored during initialization phase. I´ll upload a fixed version later.

However, neither the DBXL FIRS extension nor the FIRS set will be usable under TTDPatch.
[/edit]
