what about trams?

Got an idea for a new feature in TTDPatch? Post it here.

It's actually a screenshot of TTDPatch (you don't get stations like that in normal TTD). ;) Alternatively, it may be some sort of custom build of TTD, I guess.

That screenshot on Simon Fraser's page? Definitely TTD and not TTDPatch. 8)

Really nice bloke actually. Swapped a couple of e-mails with him regarding the use of some of his graphics and he couldn't have been more helpful.

Hell of a nice lad; seems like he's got his head screwed on and that.

So tell me, how do you place two platforms next to each other in the manner below (top left and bottom right corners):

With normal TTD, it'd have a roof over both if it's just two platforms. ;)

I'd be able to do it if my name was Simon Fraser and I took the screenshot during Chris Sawyer's TTD developement phase when we had not yet decided that the roof would be the way to go.

I´m just guessing here, but maybe by using that "debugger" which was always part of TTD?

Well, I did state that that was a possibility in my other post. :P

That's perhaps possible, too, I'd forgotten about the debugger.

It's still possible that Simon Foster wanted to take some screenshots for his site though, installed TTDPatch to get it working on XP, and did things that way. ;)

Wasn't the "Roof"/Terminus design in TTO, from a year earlier? Yet this is clearly TTD, as the grass is better looking.

I'm sure you could build a single-line station next to another in TTD.

No, V1.6 07/15/00 ttdpatch.txt tells us:
3.8 Larger Station Spread
=========================

`spread, -e'

When you use this, you don't have to bulldoze stations anymore to
add extra tracks.
Just select the same platform length, place the new
platforms next to the old station, and place them. That way you can
even get up to 7 platforms."
