Problem with ttdloadw.ovl in TTD

I installed the game and it actually has an error regarding dplay.dll initially. I managed to find a solution to that in this forum but now I need some help with this ttdloadw.ovl crashing problem.

I am using Windows 7 and have set compatibility to Windows XP SP3. I also had the TTD patch 2.5 beta 9 installed. In one of topics I came across in this forum, someone with this similar problem changed his resolution to 1024x768 or 800x600 and the problem was solved. But for me, I had tried whatever resolution I have, but it does not help.

I managed to go into the game and played for a few minutes and this ttdloadw.ovl problem will pop out. You might suggest I save my game every few minutes, but the point is that it will crash whenever I want to set vehicle order for newly bought vehicle. So unless I never order a new vehicle, or else I will always have this problem.
