I think basically well all want to give it a go, but we will be very dissapointed that it is clearly only for looks. Especially when ttdpatch players have come to love the complexity of their networks, something so simple will bore us to tears ;)

I disagree with you. I don't want to play it. I like TT, old graphics and all (for one, it works at top speed on my PC), and it's not complicated. Look how easy TT is to play, combined with some great graphics from Michael and modified graphics from people here (Andrex, Rob, Mp3pro, Hyronymus* etc), combinred with the great new features of the patch (electric tracks, building on slopes etc)...

I won't be buying this game when it comes out.

*Disclaimer: This has nothing to do with all the death threats sent to my private messages box, or my e-mail account, or the constant harrassment on msn.

Hehe...

Yeah I think it is stupid of them to assume ttd patch style play would be too hard for newbs to understand, and thats why its feature lacking. That is just dodgy.

I am pretty sure most people could pick up ttd style, not most complicated network strait off maybe, no worries. With ttd style you can easy play just a basic game and then work your way into big networks.

Well, it was 1:30 in the morning... Check above, it may be all fixed now ;)

Actually, Raichase, you're pretty right. With TTD's gameplay, and people improving the graphics, TG looks pretty bad now. (not really, it has some kicking graphics, but thats not the point)

I like being oppressive sometimes. But to stick with the topic: I will definetly download the demo and see what it has in store. That for me is the only way to find out what the game is like.

How is trying a game a waste of time? It's more a waste of time to rely on other people's experience and later find out YOURSELF the game doesn't meet your expectations.

I admit I may try the demo, but I doubt I will buy the game...

1) Downloading
2) Finding time to play
3) Doing the above and not liking it at all.

I doubt I will try it anyway, even if it gets good ratings.
I'm fine with TTD, and later TT2. (TE / TM)
