Don't launch in Vista

In case anyone else was wondering, I am unable to get transport giant gold edition to launch. Me and a friend of mine just got it a few days ago, he is still running xp so his copy ran fine and I loved the game on his! I am running vista 64 home premium, although most games run, a few don't and sadly TG is one that don't. So, I installed locomotion and guess what? That one runs like a charm, no problems in vista. I would love to play TG though, doubt it will ever run in vista. So I stick with locomotion for now and until (and if) they come on with a new transport sim game. Maybe Sid Meier, Will Wright, or Chris Sawyer will make a new one eventually. The engine for sid's railroads would make a great transport game.

Have you tried to set up compatibility for TG executable file ?
Switch it to XP, turn off extra themes etc ...

I use to love this game and tend to revisit it every few months. I just got Vista though... so my fingers are crossed

I got it to work fine in vista

no changes to the startup or compatibility what so ever

I think its Vista 64 thats causing the probelm
