How to play the demo ?

Post by Gruntsaver »

How do I play the demo ?

Some things are selfexplanary but schedule ? The only thing I can do is to place horses in the center and choose the center, but not to schedule tranport from the center to the forts. Or transport logs to the sawmill to the forts.

A doc somewhere ?
A hint or 2 from you ?

I've got exactly the same problem.. I must be getting dumb on me ol' days!

Anyway, I don't think I'll bother playing it at all - seemed very boring. Flat lands, only 90 degree curves - and is there only horses in the demo? . Nah, not my game.

I played the demo - its very confusing, but I figured it out.

You have to supply each of the forts with wooden boards.

To do this you need to find a tree logging shed (one will do for now) and supply a nearby wood-production thingee which will make your boards, then you supply each of the forts with the boards.

You don't need a "warehouse" or "storage", but you will need to invest a lot of money, assets and resources (ie: horses) in a road which cuts across the desert to the only fort on the left hand side of the screen.

I hope this helps.

find your self a lumber yard put a staion by it and connect the staion to the road.
Do the same at the lumber mill.

When building roads in this game I have found it can take time for to build.

Press on the staion by the lumber yard then press on the horse you want and then the blue arrow above him and he should move over.

Press on the staion again and it should come up in the list and press on the log on the right and the blue arrow to move it over.

and then press on the station by the lumber yard and you have the route set up.

IF you have more than one horse you can press on the grey button at the bottom to set more to the same route.

Take a while to get use to

I know I'm old and past it, but hay, this is stupid!

OK! I only have the Demo, but surely we should be able to play it and make it work! I have the horses and carts, I pick up the tree trunks and take then to the sawmill, but instead of unloading them and receiving cash for them, They are taken back to where they came from and I get charges money for the privilege. It's crazy!!

Great graphics though.

ok just had a look
only bring the log over on the top part of the route.
the pace you are taking the logs to the small square should be blank.
hope that helps

Many thanks hawkkiwi.
This game doesn't seem very easy to play. Although it makes a change to play with horses and carts. :)

When I first got the demo I installed and uninstalled in the first day.
A few months latter i saw the game on sale and tryed again it took me 2 days to get my head around the demo.
But after buying the game it just got easier and easier as I played and now I like it more than locomtion.
The only real problem i had after that was it started to slow down after I had 1500 trucks and buses
