Cant play Simutrans

I installed Simutrans but when i hit the icon the black command prompt flashes up quicly and then dissappears. And game wont start.

try running it from console (comamnd.com / cmd.exe)
then it shouldn't disappear and you should be able to see what's wrong

If there is a black window appearing and closing immediately then usually the base package wasn't installed correctly.
