PAK128 problem

Post by mfans » 29 Jun 2012 10:53

I download simutrans 111.3 and download PAK128 2.1.0 (549M). When I use PAK 128, make a map at 1024*512, when initiate new maps, it always stop and the PC doesn't work, what is wrong with the game? When I choose PAK64 is OK.

What if you make a much smaller map?

By the looks of it, I guess you are stuck with PAK64 atm.
However, hopefully your experiments give some insights for the simutrans devs where the problem may be.

Most likely you choose a too high number of industry chains. Use single digit numbers should generate maps quite fast. Remember that an industry chain consists of many industries itself ...
I like to look at great maps and see how things flow. A little like a finished model railway, but it is evolving and actually never finished. http://www.simutrans.com
