Post by BobXP »

I'm not quite sure qhat you did - if you have a vehicle stuck somewhere, usually it works to remove all stops from the schedule and enter a new schedule again.

If the vehicle still doesn't move, make sure, the next scheduled stop isn't the current location of the vehicle. The next scheduled stop is marked by >> in the schedule view.

Vehciles can for technical reasons not be removed by the remover tool. This would screw up the datastructures quite thoroughly.

Well I have a habit of not putting the Wait on to 100% before letting it go out the depot. So then I click on it and do schedule, by that time it's in the station. When I click Done then the train loses all its wagons, faces left (that is, to the left side of the screen) and won't budge.

If you can't make it so you can remove them by the remove tool, could you at least put a button in to teleport it to the nearest depot? Then you could rebuild the station and give it new orders. That would be a good temporary way to solve the problem.

I understand your problem. But OTOH I don't want that players regularly use the feature as part of the gameplay.

I have no idea how the program could recognise malfunctioning trains and allow the tool only on them ... well, I'll consider adding such a tool until the train movement code is more stable.

See if it displays (keyword: displays) a left-facing train engine?

This is a valid state. Not neccesarily a sign of malfunctioning.

Wouldn't be if it knew it was in a station - you can't put diagonal stations.

In the enw 0.82.3exp, vehicles info windows have now an additional button labeled 'X'. Press that button to remove vehicles from the map.

No luck in this story ...

It seems the windows version of 0.82.3exp couldn't be built by my scripts. This archive contains the 0.82.2exp executable.

I'll check the problem this evening and see if I can build a windows version of the 0.82.3exp.

Well there was nearly a day imbetween his posts, and he was posting his progress, so i think it's allowed, seeing as editing doesn't "bump" posts.
Things to do:
1) Bend
2) Cheese It

Sorry, I didn't know that editing a message is preferred to sending a new one. In which case is editing better and when should I edit an old message?

Anyways, the fixed windows executable is now available:

I'm sorry for the delay and the confusion.

Always edit instead of posting replies if the last reply in a thread is yours.

And, don't quote if you're referring to what the last person said.
