Those sharp curves are even worse than they are in TTD, since everything else looks more realistic.

Locomotion-style curves would fit much better

I doubt that. The TT way is easy, simple and doesn't look that bad.

The eternal issue!, with curves, trains move out of tracks, which looks horrible, but tracks look gorgeus. And without, tracks look bad, but train movement looks good. So dunno, perhaps i'll do both sets and let the player decide.
