Just downloaded the "base" and the Windows version, now I only need to know how to set it up on my computer. Should I copy the contents of the base into a new file and then run the Windows exe. program?

Or perhaps I'm just stupid for not getting it?

Does it have to go to the C drive? Can I put it on other drives?

You can install it to any drive. In fact any folder, including network drives.

The C: reference from the installations instructions is just meant as example, something that works most likely on all systems.
