Nightly back-up

I've noticed this a couple of times the past few nights.
The nightly back-up seems to be taking a great deal of time to complete.
A couple of nights ago it was at least, if not more than, 20 minutes. Last night it started around 1am, and when I popped back on at 2:30am, the forum was still unavailable.

Is this normal? Or probably a one off?

A few nights ago, it was displaying this notice for 4-5 hours that i noticed

See the News forum - basically I made a mistake, but I've fixed the scripts so it shouldn't happen again.
