Forum page often 'glitching'
Hi all.
Something rather strange I've come across over the past couple of days.
I'll be browsing the forum and every now and then the screen will glitch when loading. Refreshing seems to bring back the page for a second before it fully loads and glitches again (See image below).
Is this a known issue? Or something quite new.
I only get it on tt-forums at the moment and I haven't tried on any other browsers other than Google chrome as of yet.
It could be nothing, could be me. Just thought I'd bring it up though.
All the best

I haven't encountered it myself while using FireFox. It does look rather psychodelic.Geo Ghost wrote:Hi all.

Re: Forum page often 'glitching'
I've never seen that, or heard any reports of it. Seems rather strange. Some kind of browser bug maybe?

Come to think of it: could be a faulty plugin too or even bad video card drivers.orudge wrote:I've never seen that, or heard any reports of it. Seems rather strange. Some kind of browser bug maybe?

Not something I've seen, and I tend to use all manner of weird and unsupported browsers .

Re: Forum page often 'glitching'
Considering the major browsers all use GPU acceleration for rendering pages these days, some kind of video card/driver issue could perhaps be at play here.Hyronymus wrote:Come to think of it: could be a faulty plugin too or even bad video card drivers.orudge wrote:I've never seen that, or heard any reports of it. It's not just you! I got it loading one page the other day (while trying to load five others - no idea if that made a difference). I crossed it off immediately so I don't know if refreshing would have worked for me or not. I'm also using Chrome so that's probably where the fault lies, unless anyone else on another browser experiences it at some pointGeo Ghost wrote:It could be nothing, could be me. Nothing like that here, and I'm using Chrome too.

Re: Forum page often 'glitching'
I've never experienced that with Google Chrome.... Could be a cache error if you haven't cleaned your browser memory in a while.
Very much a retired regular poster..... If you can say that
Re: Forum page often 'glitching'
I use Firefox and no such error has occured... ever.

Glad I'm not the only one heh.
I've tried clearing the cache as suggested but it still appears. If it were happening in the number of places, I'd put it down to an issue certainly with my browser or computer, but it only happens here strangely.
I've heard a few people mentioning plugins and such. Could you elaborate on that at all?
