Suggestions for further versions of patch??

Suggestions for further versions of patch??

Post by R3D »

How about slowing the time down - i mean it seems like i just get my steam trains going and we are in the electric phase and the diesels are already there!! lol

This isn´t a problem with the game but an issue that appears when you play the game the way i think most of us here do. I mean when i got the game first (back in the good/bad old dos days) i wanted to be a ttd tycoon as declared by the game- but with everything set to their hardest settings- after a few mnths of enjoyable play/experience- i could still easily achieve it . Now i play to make the best transport infrastructure the game will permit. That doesn´t even mean making the most money, no, to me it´s more about how the rail/road systems look. Basically i play the game as if it were a massive train set, only with some trucks and buses and boats and wow - even aircraft.

As such a slowed down time scale would be really useful- like 1 mnth takes 4 mnths to happen? Dont slow the trains- just the calendar. :)

Also, i like to use custom names for my vehicles, AEC Royal for an early bus - Leyland Leopard for a 70´s bus and a volvo plaxton for a new one. Sed atkinson trucks, Bedford and Ford - Renault - Scammel - Scania - Volvo f12. Concord, VC10, Boieng 747 etc. etc..

Now since i have kept the game since my dx4 100, you can probably understand i have lost all my custom names. If and when i get them re done- is there anywhere i could post them to offer to others to use?? and maybe them offer some for us too??

That then means i want to be able to choose which custom names file i load into TTD. Can the patch be used to sort that out??

Last one, (i have to leave some ideas for you all :P ) New trains/vehicles might be too much to expect (i guess not impossible) but how about different sounds?? For instance a deep whistle for the ´Mallard´ and high peep for the Tank engine.

Best regards and if you need any graphics doing - give me a try :) Would love to see a Steam Golden Age patch. (more steam engines) and a BR Diesel passenger train just like the ones i used to travel on. Ferry´s etc etc.. oh come back and do TTD 2. Anyone know his(Chris Sawyer´s) email addy??

:) :] ;) ;) :] :)

You got some very good idea there. Forward them to Josef Drexler the maker of TTD Patch. See what he has to say?
