On the bright side of things, the UK are no longer the dumbest group of voters of 2016.
On the same day, voters in two states were also being asked about reintroducing the death penalty. California turned it down, Nebraska overwhelmingly voted for it.

Apparently recreational use of cannabis was approved in California today too - no doubt they'll need it!

Suddenly my plans for a bunker in my back garden don't seem such a silly idea...

California already has capital punishment, although they haven't executed anyone in a decade despite having hundreds of prisoners on death row. There are two competing propositions running in California, one for outlawing the death penalty and one for "streamlining" it so more people get executed. The latter is currently winning.

The Peace Prize was never Swedish to begin with. Alfred Nobel wanted the Norwegians to give it out because they were in his eyes more peaceful than us. Might be time to INVADE THEM AND RECLAIM THE PEACE PRIZE!!! We'll ask Putin for help!

There's this spontaneous movement in the world that just wants to see the world burn for the sake of hurting the establishment. It's quite worrying really. Instead of defenestrating the guys they don't like, they just hurt themselves by voting for the worst things. We had this happen too - I wrote about it the other day, people elected a neo-nazi party into the Slovak parliament just to get a message across.

Needless to say, this is a VERY stupid way of exercising democracy. When someone bullies you, you won't hurt them by putting a live grenade on your head.

Maybe it wasn't one of the Norwegian Nobel Peace Prize Commitee's brightest moments when they decided to reward Obama with it, but it would seem exceedingly silly to revoke that decision now, eight years later. But on the other hand, neither Trump nor Putin seems likely to get it.

As for the Swedes invading Norway - well, they're already here in massive numbers, most of them apparently serving beer at Norwegian restaurants. As a friend of mine recently observed during a visit to Stockholm: "This is a lot like Norway, there are Swedish waiters everywhere"

Now Canada will need to build a wall, and get us to pay for it.

Vote or not, they've already decided results for you. And don't complain about it for your safety.
