Installed the Promods map..... It has proper roundabouts! Or at least in the UK.
Very much a retired regular poster..... If you can say that :mrgreen:

It has proper intersections for highways too. Especially the new parts (Scandinavia, Western France) are nicely detailed. I can recommend taking a ride to Stockholm or Oslo.

Take a good look at Helsinki, for example. It's also very detailed. Stockholm is a bit of a mess in my opinion :P

I've only visited Helsinki once. It's quite far away from the rest of the map and involves quite a bit of ferrying. (I don't mind the ferries much, but they added quite a few in Scandinavia). I'll see if I can find a job to Helsinki.

Though the big map is awesome, I'm getting a tad tired of the 1500+ km trips. Apparently the mod also 'buffs' the Long Distance Driving skill. :P

Yes, or you would only get inter-city hauls up in the north. They are expanding further up from what I've heard. They will also be adding Örebro :mrgreen:

They'll also be expanding between Germany and Denmark. There's a secret exit which you can take by driving through the grass which will take you to an unfinished part.

IIRC just north of Flensburg, in Denmark, there's a motorway exit which is blocked by one of these yellow chevron barrier thingies. Except, there's no guardrail in front or after virtual barrier. So you can drive around it and just take the exit. Do so, and you'll find some unmapped roads, half a Volvo dealership and hardly any landscape around it.

Yeah, their plan is posted here. Moving further up north indeed, Trondheim for example. I've seen some screenshots showing snow. That'd be a nice change from the temperate landscape. They're also slowly working their way south. Spain is planned but needs southern France to be finished first. They're working on Italy too. Would be nice to have some meditereanian terrain. And in the meanwhile they're also expanding west (Ireland) and east (Russia). That's pretty awesome. Can't wait for a new update. :)

No, but from what I've gathered there will be lots of the one-lane roads. Those are the most fun to drive!

I like those big cloverleaves too. The more flyovers, the better :P

Not sure. The downside of ATS is that it's a tad too American. :P
I'll certainly download the demo though, once it's released. But not sure it'll be worth buying.

Take a look at this map;

This is what the ProMods team is working on. That's pretty impressive. Get the mod at http://www.promods.net/

Glad to hear it!

Presumably if Promods continues not to require Going East, it's going to end up with an odd void in and around Poland, surrounded by Promods map. :-)
