Re: UK TT Meet 2012 - Crewe
If you can manage to avoid clashing with Leeds/Reading festival that'd be a big help, as that was the reason for my no-show last time- I ended up working there, which meant free festival- I wasn't even that keen on last year's line-up, but The Cure are rumoured to be playing this time around!
I was social distancing before it was cool

25th is no good for me. Just before pay day means I'll be stone broke.

I will sell my vote in exchange for a beer on the day of the meet.
In seriousness though, any of the listed dates work for me.

Can you not set aside some money after pay day the previous month for the meet?Dave W wrote:25th is no good for me. Just before pay day means I'll be stone broke.
Become a Zernebok customer, and you can get a free beer at the meet.Lankku wrote:I will sell my vote in exchange for a beer on the day of the meet.

I can't commit to any dates yet. Still waiting on internship dates, which will family holiday dates, which will determine dissertation research dates, which will determine whether I can make it to the meet or not.
Although meet or no meet, there are quite a few of you that I'll probably see anyway this year!

But the meet is more important than all of those things! It should be your priority!

Hi all.
Some information regarding Crewe Heritage Centre -
An exhibition is being set up between the 21st of July and the 7th of October to commemorate 175 years of the town and 25 years of the centre.
The centre will be open as normal though how things will be with this event, I do not know.
Reason I bring it up is that another forum I am on, Model Rail Layouts, was going to have their yearly meet and exhibition there. But seems unlikely due to the event.
This might not affect us at all. Could be an extra thing going on there as a bonus but thought it worth bringing up

Re: UK TT Meet 2012 - Crewe
Well, usual meet protocol is to meet up in a pub, and then potentially take a trip to a place of interest. I was wanting to get hold of Ploes, who in theory is meant to be organising this. It looks like the 18th or 25th of August may be the date we'll want to go for, though.

Re: UK TT Meet 2012 - Crewe
The 25th August would appear to be the most popular date, so I'm tempted to go for that. Any objections?
Re: UK TT Meet 2012 - Crewe
No objection other than we should force Dave to go.
Re: UK TT Meet 2012 - Crewe
I should be able to do it. I leave for the States on the 29th so that would suit me lovely.
If Andel's lucky, I might even wear make-up.

That date is also dangerously close to the date I may be moving house, but if not, I'm solidly in.
