I am typing this on a computer at my local hospital. My Mom has had a rather large set back in her recovery from her recent troubles. As such I do not know at this time when I will be able to return to active duty in the quiz or here on the forums in general. I will leave it to orudge to make the choice of catagories for the coming month as he took second place in the past month. Keep on playing. I will return as soon as I am able. Good luck my friends.

Today's quiz was fairly easy. I just hope I was fast enough, I believe I have never won a day! At least being the only one who has played, that guarantees a first place for the time being.

Just popped in quickly to check up on things and I see that Badger finally got a win last month. Much congratulations Badger !! So where is your addition of the much maligned Movie Topic?


On a more personally note things are still a bit up in the air as far as my Mom's health is concerned. She is finally back at home as of this past Friday but I am waiting for things to settle into a more normalized routine before I return to the forums in general, and to the quiz specifically, on anything resembling a regular basis. Until then I will try and pop in when time permits.

I'm very glad to hear things are shaping up with you, from what I recall this has been on for at least several months. Hoping for a swift recovery from here on The longer you stay away from the quiz, the fewer people I have to fight against

Well, I would say the time has come for me, folks. I've been playing this quiz since it started in March 2009 - some 39 months - and I think the time has come for me to stop. With my life being busier, and less time being spent on the computer, I'm generally finding it a pain to ensure I play. That, and it's getting a bit repetitive and tedious in places. I've very rarely missed a day, sometimes going to quite extreme lengths to play (via expensive roaming GPRS in Brazil at one point, I seem to recall; or dodgy wifi that kept dropping out in Sydney Airport, to name but a couple of things). Badger, as and Nite_Owl would seem to be the only other players who have generally played pretty consistently from March 2009 to now.

Looks like it was a three-way tie last month, by the way, with indianwells, VoyagerOne and me all getting 141 points, although indianwells had by far the most wins, at 12. Congratulations to all of us, I guess!

Anyway, I will still admin the game, and if the winner each month wants categoriess changed, just post here and I'll do that. I may still play every now and then, we shall see.

Also, it seems I've been in the top 10 every single month except for April 2009. We had 60 players in March 2009, 54 in April 2009, but we're now down to just 8 players a month.

My life too has taken several turns towards the more complicated of late. I will attempt to remain active with the quiz but only time and circumstance will foretell how often I get to play or how long I may stick with it.

I discovered this in my bookmarks and gave it a shot again - brought back some memories! I then checked the hall of fame (which cuts off at 10 years apparently ) and it looks like a user called uncleralph has been playing this quietly almost every month for the past 7 years! Is anyone going to own up?
