Hope all goes wonderfully well for you on Saturday, and shall have a beer or two for you! Congratulations!

It did go extremely well. The ceremony was fast, we played two songs and exchanged rings. That was about it. We had a lovely buffet style dinner with lots of alcohol. The entire day and evening was one of joy and love. I'm still in shock at just how many people travelled far to celebrate the two of us. An absolutely unique experience.

I'm sad to read that Danny Boyle has pulled out of directing the next Bond film. I was hoping he could inject some fresh life into the series, especially after the very 'meh' Spectre.

BBC News.

What TV shows or TV specials air in your country on Christmas every year? Weird TV traditions?

Sweden is great at this. Our number one most watched TV airing every year is a Disney Christmas special called "From All of Us to All of You", it has aired every year at 3pm on Christmas Eve since the 1960s and is always watched by 40-50% of the Swedish population live.

We also ALWAYS watch Ivanhoe. The s*** TV film adoption from the mid-1980s with Anthony Andrews and Sam Neill. Do not know why.

Other must-sees include "Dinner For One" (originally a German sketch called "The 90th Birthday"), airing in it's British black-and-white form. It includes a servant hosting a dinner for his upper-class employer, but she's too senile to realise all her friends are dead so the servant impersonates the guests. Including their alcohol consumption. Boy does he get drunk. Really not politically correct, I guess, but traditions are traditions.

Dinner For One is German tradition for New Years.

On Christmas I think it's technically Sissi (from the 1950s, yes), although I'm not sure that's just being played and nobody watches it ^^; Also stuff like Groundhog Day or Kevin Alone at Home. Hm. Not really a TV person, so can't say if that's even true anymore. But it was ... some years back

The Snowman has aired on Channel 4 in the UK every year since 1982 (when the channel launched). I've probably watched it most years since the early 1990s, and it still brings a tear to my eye.

It the US, it's not Christmas unless we get the airing's of Rankin/Bass' Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman, Charles Schultz' A Charlie Brown Christmas, and the films White Christmas and A Christmas Story, the latter which has been ran as a 24-hour Christmas day marathon for 2+ decades by cable broadcaster TBS. There might be some debate about whether or not National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation and Die Hard should be included on that list.

With Queen's movie 'Bohemian Rhapsody' in the cinema this year, it's nice having good music when the last days of december are coming.
Video below is recorded on 24 december 1975 and broadcasted by the BBC that christmas. Nice to have a feeling of 'Bohemian Rhapsody' this year!

I wish everybody a good christmas and nice kick-off of the year 2019!
See you next year!

This weekend, I finally upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 in order to secure a genuine copy of Windows (I've used a Windows 7 trial version since 2012). Even though I no longer have to bother with the "Your version of Windows is not genuine" messages, I am not a fan of this layout at all. Stuff pops up, it's all very mobile friendly which is rather dumb for a computer OS.

Is it worth it? Let him work it.
