All confirmed now. Wehrlein to Sauber, Bottas to Mercedes, Massa to Williams.

Re: The Formula One Topic
Yeah. Not sure that was the optimal solution for everyone involved, but it was the obvious one. No surprise.

Re: The Formula One Topic
Too bad he will probably not have such a wonderful exit in Brazil this year. I have to admit that was a touching moment last year.

Re: The Formula One Topic
Massa wasn't/isn't the greatest driver around, but he's generally really likable and very emotional. I'm always kinda cheering for him, in a sort of underdog-appreciating sort of way
Re: The Formula One Topic
That Massa scene was among the most beautiful sports moments I've ever witnessed. During the race, rival mechanics line up to applaud him as he slowly walks down the pit lane crying, ends up kissing his wife.
Him returning so soon after makes that whole moment a bit clouded. I always was a fan of Massa, from his Sauber days up to this year, but in 2016 he kind of dropped the ball. It was his time to retire, 2017 probably won't be great. I doubt it will take more than a few races before Stroll is consistently beating Massa.
In other news, I am happy to see Wehrlein joining Sauber. Ericsson drove a great season in 2016 but not many people noticed since he failed to score points. If he can beat Wehrlein over this season, that will surely make more people notice the Swede.

Motorsport Manager has been out on Steam for a while. It's 50% off today through Friday. I just bought my copy, it could be worth giving it a go. I'll get back to you when I've tried it out to let you know if it's any good. Reviews are positive though.

I enjoy it a lot, though most of the time I watch videos of it, as my PC isn't the greatest (and who has time to play games anyway )Chrill wrote:Motorsport Manager has been out on Steam for a while. Sauber C36
LOOK AT THIS HANDSOME LITTLE SAUBER AND THAT FREAKY COOL REAR WING. I love it, shark fin is back too. PRETTY CAR. Lack of a main sponsor is obvious though.

Is that the real thing? That's bloody gorgeous that!Chrill wrote:LOOK AT THIS HANDSOME LITTLE SAUBER AND THAT FREAKY COOL REAR WING
Re: The Formula One Topic
It certainly is the real deal. I'm assuming all the wings and sidepods are placeholders but the general looks of that thing is gorgeous. I love the swept back rear wing and I do like the shark fins. This looks proper aggressive. It looks fast even when standing still. We'll have about one car per day all week, with the final cars shown 7 days from today.

Sweet!
What a difference in design and aestetics from e.g. those, and to quote Clarkson, "gentleman parts on F1 noses" we've had just a few years ago...

Re: The Formula One Topic
The Renault is confusing me, because I can't see it very well but EVERYBODY is praising it. It's the same livery at the front, and all black at the back. I... don't really get it. I can't see any details either, but the air intake is quadruple which is a pretty interesting design.
My Scenarios:
Archipiélago Hermoso (Latest Release: Version 3.2)
Turnpike Falls (Latest Release: Version 0.91)
Re: The Formula One Topic
I prefer simple liveries, so that Renault looks fine to me.
Except for the nose. They are still meh. I'm not sure whether I want high noses back or proper curved ones like back in the early 90s, but I don't like those "neither" ones ^^

Re: The Formula One Topic
Lots of reminders of 1980s cars in that Sauber design; rather reminiscent of cigarette sponsorship.

Force India VJM10
That front wing. What is that even.
Overall not a very exciting look. I was expecting a sweet livery now that they are celebrating 10 years in F1. Instead we get a step nosed (sort of) front wing and a big chunk of sheet metal for a fin. It's..it's not very pretty is it?

Re: The Formula One Topic
Definitely that nose ruining it. Otherwise I wouldn't mind it too much. Doesn't even look particularly aerodynamic, does it? Wonder what advantage there is supposed to be with that design...
