Arctic Monkeys - Star Treatment

I do love this new spacy 60s sound from my fellow monkeys of the North. Good stuff.

Still need to check out that latest, AM's always had a downward slope for me but their debut was amazing.

Current rotation playing:
Immortal - At the Heart of Winter
Krallice - Go Be Forgotten
Danny Brown - XXX (30)

See, that's funny. I think they started out strong, arguably had some weaker albums, but their two most recent efforts (AM, and this new album) are amazing. For me, they're on an upwards trajectory rather than a downward slope. They are not true to what Arctic Monkeys sounded like when they started out, but I enjoy the journey they are on.

On that topic:
Yes, still them.
Arctic Monkeys - The World's First Ever Monster Truck Front Flip

kent - Socker

Yes, they spell their name in lower case. Lazy people. A Swedish rock/indie band that ceased playing some 2-3 years ago. Arguably the biggest Swedish band of all time to sing in Swedish (and therefore not enabling themselves to go abroad)

First heard this tune in Ken Burns' Vietnam War documentary, and now I can't stop listening to it.

Ghost - Dance Macabre (Carpenter Brut Remix)

Lovely 80s sounding synth-pop remix to an already 80s sounding rock track. Check it out, it's pretty darn sweet.

Carpenter Brut is cream of the crop when it comes to 80s-style stuff

the whole scene is pretty amazing though

Decades by Nightwish. The gold LP version. On a tie dye turntable. It's like being in heaven.

This, times 1000. I picked up the 2-disc CD version after their concert in Atlanta, GA this spring and I can only try to imagine how amazing it has to be on Vinyl.

It's really hard to pick favorites across the songs by Tarja, Anette and Floor, yet I feel like The Greatest Show On Earth is their ultimate masterpiece so far.
