How do I replace a train in TTDPATCH?

Hello,

I am running TTD with TTDPatch 2.5 Beta 9.

When I get a train into a depot, how do I replace it? I have auto-replace turned on (not sure if that matters), but when I sell the engine, the whole thing sells. I can then buy a new engine, and new carriages, but the new carriages don't seem to want to get dragged onto the engine.

Any suggestions?

Let go of the Ctrl key.
